Went on a Tuesday night and the place was packed, around 10 pm. Wasn't aware of it until they announced it, but Aegis (a popular pinoy band, youtube the songs 'Halik' or 'Sayang na Sayang') was playing the following night. I got into City Garden Grand last night but was too wiped after the long flight to head out. Getting old sucks.

Immigration was a breeze. No line at the qr code station or at immigration. Maybe 5 min total. Metered taxi about half the cost of fixed rate cab.

I've been a frequent visitor of the Philippines for the past 15 years and for the first time since a long time ago I got scammed multiple times.

In this post pandemic world the rules have changed. Many girls do require downpayment (up to 30 or 40%) and at minimum they require 1 K advance to pay for their grab and to send via paypal or Gcash. (BTW that's another issue but WTF now I have grab rides that cost me up to 700 pesos when before it would never go above 400!

I can understand where it's coming from, if a girl QC rides a grab to fake meet or something or the guy is gone, or the guy tries to renegociate once the girl has arrived etc.

Before I used to send a pre paid Grab, until I realized that for privacy reason it sucks as it show my name on the driver screen:).

Note that I mostly date girls that I find on Instagram, twitter, TikTok or even FB.

Of course, you're going to say screw that you'll find girls that don't require advance payment. And it's a possibility.

But a few of the best meetings I had recently were with girl to whom I have sent 1 K or more via Gcash as a down payment. So each time I'm thinking maybe I'm passing on a great meet:).

I don't mind losing 1 K (it happened FIVE times this month) what depresses me is that I didn't analyze the situation properly though the girl was legit. And at the same time I'm shocked the girl isn't even willing to ride the grab I just paid her and earn an extra 10 K (yes I know it's high but that's the minimum going rate for -semi- high end girls, car show girls, wannabe models etc) and instead settle for scamming 1 K! What a lack of ambition!

I even got the case of a girl I chatted on SA for MONTHS, she's a former Solaire dealer, and ultimately, she opted to scam me for 1 K! I was shocked! So much effort to scam such a small amount. What are they thinking.

Has anyone faced the same issues as I did or do you stick with girls that don't require DP?
