If this is the economic reality of Thailand then the guy would have got her for 1500 ST which he did not. Clearly 200 baht was the market at that point and thus the 'economic reality'. No amount of complaining about how spoiled girls are and that farang deserve to have their dicks serviced for a lessor amount can change that.

Since she had a preference for japanese men that are respectful and pay at a certain price point then her inflexibility was sending a signal.

I'm not particularly knowledgable about Thermae but do the Japanese reject girls who go with westerners?

If they want 2000, I politely tell them I don't pay more than 1500, and if they are fine with that, okay, and if they are not, well that is okay too. My experiences have been that the girls who are okay with it end up almost always being non clock watchers, repeats and multiple repeats, and are fun to be with and great in bed. The ones who insist on price, the very few that I have taken, have all been clock watchers and not worth it at all. And no, it has nothing to do with the less attractive ones going for less, it has everything to do with the initial contact one has with them and whether or not there is some sort of connection at least slightly past just "how much."

If you look at the Thai scene, say in the alley behind the old Siam Hotel, in Sutthisan, or elsewhere. 1500ST is the norm, which it has been for probably almost a decade now. The farang scene used to be cheaper than the Thai scene, but now it is passing it, and it has nothing to do with the girls being better looking or more talented or able to speak English. It more likely has everything to do with the number of people who are paying far more than they ought to be.

Ask a mid-upper class Thai monger if he thinks paying 2000+ baht for ST is an economic reality.

Used to monger in Bangkok quite a bit, have not been there in some time. Am trying to locate a wingman (local) whose father owned a nightclub / restaurant with hostesses. You would basically chose your hostesses (like in a MP setting) be served in a private room. They also had a and area where they had a cabaret type show. Don't remember the name or location of the place. I believe it was considered a high class nightclub, but mostly for locals. If such a place rings abell with anyone, would appreciate any info or suggestion.

I was lucky back then, always knew some Thais who would take me around. Had a blast.

They knew the job would entail dicks of strangers when they signed on and it is for this they are making the 1500 baht / hour or 2 compared to the grocery bagger's 300 baht / day. He never stated that the lay person should be interested in being a prostitute. He said the prostitute should be satisfied getting 5 times / hour what the lay person makes in a day.

He had a hard time getting rid of her. When we were leaving the hotel the next morning I ran into another member who I didn't know was in town and he got the girl's info as well.

No stigma attached to dating Westerners at Thermae. I've never had any problems with the girls working at Thermos. Just don't look like the average knucklehead- shower, shave, and dress appropriately. It helps being young and hansum because I bet dollars to donuts if Johnny Depp walked into this place, he would not be turned down by a single soul LOL

It is a very fair shake. Problem comes in when guys see the need to impress or compete for women. I thought the point of coming here or living here was that you left all that mess behind. Asians have a "we'er in this together attitude" and Westerners have this "I'm an individual" attitude. Westerners think,"She's mine," and therein lies the problem.
