Motor over to the hotel, photo shoot, clean up and went on to have one of the better sessions I have had on this trip. After, she struck up conversation with me. I don't think any of the girls (foreign or otherwise) you'd find in Pattaya are forced into the business (surely not in an organized way). The way the scene works, it would be difficult for a pimp / agency to enforce compliance. However, trafficking of Lao / Cambodian / Burmese working girls is a problem in certain Thai brothels and massage parlors, especially in border regions, but you're unlikely to come across those.

Technically Lao / Burmese / Cambodian can get long-term visas as migrant workers (Indonesians / Vietnamese cannot), but I doubt you'll find many of them far from work sites (mostly construction / factories).

As for the language, Lao is similar enough to Thai that they wouldn't have an issue.

In all my times in Pattaya, I haven't seen that many working girls from other East/Southeast Asian countries, and it's not for my lack of interest. A very small number of PRC Chinese, a few Lao which are hard to tell apart from Thai / Issan, a few Cambodians (again, hard to tell from Southern Issan). Sadly, zero Vietnamese or Indonesians.

I'm wondering if any of those girls were actually bullshitting you. How sure are you they're foreign? The easiest giveaway is not speaking Thai when addressing other Thais, or speaking it poorly / with an unusual accent.

Woke up had breakfast and checked out of the Patong Beach Hotel, hopped into a taxi to the airport for my flight back to Bangkok for a little bit of business to take care of. While waiting in que to check my luggage for Air Asia there were these three smoking hot Chinese girls in there 20's with three guys in there 50's or 60's. I thought they where on some kind of modeling gig or something, them later it came to me that these girls maybe these guys second wife's / mistresses on a little holiday from China what lucky guy's! Getting on the plane I noticed misted or fog coming out of the air ventilation system wondering if this is do to the high humidity here in Thailand? This is the first time I have seen this on a plane.

Landed back in Bangkok at DMK met the same driver from five days ago who had picked me up at BKK. First stop Bangkok business stuff, then made my way to Pattaya the drive seemed longer than I thought. But I made it and checked into the Marriott. The room is bla compared to the Landmark or Patong Beach Hotel nothing to write home about. But the grounds are just gorgeous! Looking into the bay I see loads of para gliding going back and forth on the bay, need to try this.

I walked down Beach Road to Walking Street it was early 8 pm or so took in the sights of beach road on the way and saw some prospective ladies standing around amongst the tourist. Once on Walking Street the hordes of people taking in the sights were bizarre Chinese and Japanese tour groups fallowing there flag waving tour guides. Seeing grand & great grand parents, grand mas hand covered smiles in a red light district is new to me. It had a different feel to it compared to Patong's Walking Street, less party atmosphere for business like. I don't know just my first impression that's all I did not go into any of the Go gos just getting the lay of the land the first night here. Carbon copy of the last few nights. Go to Caf on Beach Road and Soi 10. Have three beers (240 baht with tip). Pick up a girl on the beach. She quoted 800 baht and I asked for a discount and she repeated 800 baht. I said 700 baht. She said ok without hesitating. Maybe I should counter with 200 baht less, in the future. Worked out the details, hopped on the motor bike and off we went. Get to the room and she is not happy taking pictures. I squeeze a couple out of her and we clean up. Had a pretty good time once we got in the sack. Finished, cleaned up and got ready to leave and managed to talk her into a couple of more pictures. Then another beer from 7/11. And I head into Marine Disco about 2:15 am. Very few people tonight. Did a walk around and headed out.

Went to Insomnia, which was packed, and had a beer and got into the vibe. One of the stage girls motioned for me to buy her a drink. Nope, just smiled and ignored her. I am not against buying a girl a drink. But it usual happens if we first strike up a conversation and I have already worked out the deal and I want to stay and have a drink myself. Stayed till about almost 4 am and left. Years ago, back in the US, I bought too many drinks for too many girls and it didn't always lead to getting some action. If you heart the girls in Patts, why not just let your wallet off for a few seconds? Not for a thousands of baht but just for a few hundred? It won't matter to you in the least. It may not matter to them either but it might just be good for your " self ".

Unless, of course, you feel it's a mental discipline thing, a principle thing, or you don't quite see them (in their totality vs. individually) as unworthy of it, for whatever reason. And in that case of course I understand.

Just an observation fwiw, and it really is A-Ok if you disagree. Just know that I say this with the best of intentions.

I believe this is purely a figment of his imagination (or sheer ignorance). On the BKK thread he has posted that he saw Chinese and Japanese girls inside Baccara, so you know what's coming. He seems to be in a world of his own.
