However, trafficking of Lao / Cambodian / Burmese working girls is a problem in certain Thai brothels and massage parlors, especially in border regions, but you're unlikely to come across those.

Technically Lao / Burmese / Cambodian can get long-term visas as migrant workers (Indonesians / Vietnamese cannot), but I doubt you'll find many of them far from work sites (mostly construction / factories).

There aren't many non-Thai Asians on Beach Road, as far as I can tell. One Cambodian (still active), and one Lao (in the past), that I know of.

Cruising Beach Road this past week, lots of talent from about 4 pm to late night.
