nice report billpsu. i just want to add something :d

if you like to live in the philippines permantly, make sure you have something to do during the day. im working here and just live a normal life..which means i dont go out evry night, getting drunk, barfining gurls etc etc....cause i need to work..

being now frequently to ac and edsa and makati..i have to say im gettin a bit tired of those places, however ac is ok, cause its cheap and i have my favoured places there to hang out.

so, for the guys thinking to stay longer here, you need also a car, specially if u work and live in manila region and you like to explore more spot or shop in a supermarket, buying things , etc etc...if you live in ac, you wont need a car, bike is is fine and with the new express hi way to subic which is quite deserted you can easily drive by bike...

being here, you need to get back to "normal life", e. g. if you used to stay at home after work, not much going out, not much drink etc etc etc...you cant be a party lion once you live in the philippines. you need to get back to ur daily routine you used to have when you lived in your own country..trust me ;-)

once your head is clear, you focused on other things..of course you or lets say im here for the chicks, no doubt..but im here also for making money, working in a tropical country, easy life, and better lifestyle as i had back home. i dont live in a house or apartment. my condo is well secured, with guards outside in a 40 floor building, great view and quiet.

talking about quietness. when looking for a home, that should be your primar objective..quiet and secured environtment...with easy access to bank atm, supermarket and when no own car, access to cabs, busses etc..

dont buy real estate if you dont know whats happening around, e.g. greedy chinese pinoys can just built up a skyscraper beside your newly bought condo and you have noise for the next 3 years and your romantic view is gone :d.so, if you go for real estate, make sure whats happening around you..

retiring in the philippines, yes , why not, i like it here, but im glad i came here before i need somebody to change my [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord132][CodeWord132][/url]. with other words...if you in the retirement age, you can have a lot of fun here also. but your an easy target for scams, robbery, and hit by any other foreign loser for investment. so, heads up, dont start ur day with a dry martini, start it with a swim, stay in shape...better shape, better sex :d

when living here and now i guess i allready reach that point, its really more exciting to date semi pros then bar hookers....also in terms of hygine, std etc etc...i mean, you also dont date hookers on your own country, right? taking them out in restos, right? ok, ok....i do/did that also, but well, its ok in a place like ac, but here in manila its a bit diffrent, except your in la cafe :))..

all, im going to say, for those folks who think, wow, when i live here in the philippines i bang evry day different gurls, get drunk and party evry night..

yes, i know some guys they doing that. i know a guy he went out evry night and get a gurl..once you here, your objective changes a bit..mine are still banging good looking chicks, good lifestyle which includes food, success at work and fun on the weekends, live more healthy and have good friends :)

More specifically, I am suggesting that we try to bring one of these girls to us for a couple of weeks every now and then rather than going over to the PI. From an economical standpoint all you would have to spend would be her plane ticket and her “fee” for services rendered during the visit. You would be saving the cost of hotel…etc.

I would love to hear from someone who has gotten a tourist visa for a young woman in the past. Most importantly did she get the visa because of the child being left in the PI or what was the determining factor? If she is an older woman…..say 30 or above it probably doesn’t help much because lets face it we are after the 18-25 crowd!

To put it succintly, not a snowball's chance in hell. At least half of these women have children anyway. These girls have no home, job, business, car or anything that might indicate that they would return to the Philippines on the departure date on their tickets. Most would gladly abandon their children and leave them with family to have an opportunity to come to the "land of milk and honey" where they can run and "hide" for the rest of their lives. USCIS knows this. That's why over 90 percent of the tourist visa applications for Filiponos are denied.

I am confused about this a little. So as an American I can pretty much to go any normal country I choose, whenever I choose, and my passport and filling out a little paperwork on the plane just prior to arrival does that for me.

Are you guys saying that a Philippine resident cannot come and visit the U. S. Like they are on vacation?

The USCIS operates with the presumption of immigrant intent. Accordingly, the tourist visa applicant mush show significant and substantial evidence of intent to return to their home country. If they can do so, the presumption of immigrant intent is rebutted. This presumption applies to virtually every foreign national of a developing country.

Foreign nationals of certain developed countries are not presumed to have immigrant intent. They can enter on their passport without the necessity of a visa. There are perhaps a dozen or so of such countries, mostly western European.

So no, a Philippine national cannot just enter the USA for a vacation. They have to have that visa attached to their passport first.

puerto la cruz hit it on the nose. to expand on his statements:

first, the burden of proof is entirely on the tourist visa applicant to show they are returning. some people have asked, what if i put up a bond for her return? there is no provision for that in us immigration law so the answer is no, that is not possible you can help her that way.

second, i understand through the grapevine that a filipino/a applicant for a us tourist visa must have significant family ties at home, must be a business owner or have a very good professional job, must have significant assets including real estate and must have a lot of cash in the bank. this automatically chops out all but the most wealthy from these visas. also if they find any history of work in adult entertainment, that is grounds for automatic rejection.

so the only way most pinays are getting to the us is via the fiance or bride visa (k-1 or k-3, iirc).

finally, regarding foreign nationals of certain countries allowed to enter the us without visas, this is called the visa waiver program and there are currently 27 countries that participate in it, mostly in europe. the only participants in the asia pacific region are australia, brunei, japan and new zealand. korea is on the short list for possible future addition to the list. and that's it. everyone else has to apply for a visa.

Maybe a little, but the PI is still one of the most beautiful places in the world (some of us come for the beaches, mountains, etc not just the girls), and the cheapest (IMHO) places to monger. Sure there are other countries with less hard dollars for fun, but when you throw in english is widely spoken, food is pretty accessible if you arent up for native cuisine, safety, and overall experience, the price can end up higher than the cost.

Also you have to remember this is low season for tourists :) Nov-Apr is high season.

Reason I ask is because a former girlfriend of mine has recently gone to UK (where visa rules are as strict as the USA), From what I gather the procedure was time consuming but relatively simple. Her sponsor in UK (boyfriend/pimp) enrolled her at a college on an accredited course and paid the tuition fees etc and sent her the paperwork. I think once she had the paperwork, she employed an agent to deal with the British Embassy visa section (which has been farmed out to local civilian contractors), who dealt with all the minutiae. This included showing a return flight ticket, proof of bank funds in the Philippines (which her Philippine sponsor who was her Barangay mayor paid into her account one day and reclaimed a couple of days later!). Apparently it all worked swimingly for her and she is now in the arms of her honeyko in UK and no doubt working her permitted 16 hours a week at the local massage parlour;)

These are bare details gathered from YM chat with the girl and she may have omitted details so the procedure could have been more complex than she made out but it certainly gives food for thought.

Another friend entered UK by paying a congressman a substantial sum to be taken on as one of his aids during a trip to UK and then remained there and worked illegally. The congressman apparently has a lucrative sideline in this form of illegal immigration. It goes to show that if you have the dough then there are always ways to circumvent the rules. GH

Yes, USA does have a student visa system. One must show admission to a legitimate institution of higher learning along with sufficient funds on deposit to sustain them during their stay in the USA. A financial affidavit from a sponsor may also be required. The student can stay as long as it reasonably takes to complete their course of study and must leave as soon as that course of study is completed. Of course, there are ways of extending the stay, such as job, marriage or the like, any of which will require another application for visa, conditional or permanent residency. HIV positive applicants will be summarily denied.
