Phuket Reports

Just left Patong, Phuket after a five night stay. In my opinion because I live in Thailand, Phuket is probably not a good destination for the buget minded.

Everything was more expensive than Pattaya. Transportation was very expensive except for renting a motorcycle was about the same. Gasolinine was sold everywhere out of used whiskey bottles for 30 baht to 40 baht (full bottle) which was great not having to wait turn at gas pumps.

Food, drinks, bar fines, girls, and even medicine were more expensive in most cases. But with that said, remember Phuket is a island where all goods are shipped in from far away, perhaps Bangkok or further.

If you are honeymooning or with the one you love, it is probably very romantic and fun for couples. The beaches were fantastic with nice waves rolling in. The town of Patong was loaded with western couples and middle east couples.

Took the minibus (van) from Phuket airport to a Patong hotel. Bought 150 baht ticket at airport counter. First they said 500 baht, when I started to walk away, it changed to 150 baht each the going rate.

Stopped at a tour office and was told to get out. My Thai girlfriend waiting in the van. Was informed that I needed to buy a return ticket to airport because it was much cheaper from them. Not so. Bought a return ticket on the street the day I was leaving for 170 baht each. Their return tickets were more than 170 baht. I told the tour office that I didn't want a tour and they said to get back in the van. We were the first to be dropped off because our hotel was in Patong not the further beach resort areas. Not so bad.

Ok lads heres the challege, I am sure the brotherhood can help. I am on a 2 week holiday with the minister of war & finance but just luuuuv to monger & will. Will be in Phuket for 9 days and setting a goal o 3 p4p during my stay. Durig my last stay i had some fun & want to again, got a couple of scenarios I need some help with. I was an active runner but slacked off a bit lately & the minister think i should do more, so I am staying in Karon & will go for a run every morning. Any blow job bars that I can stop at sa b4 8am. I am a keen fisho & diver so planning a full day trip half of which will be mongering any suggestions for good diving, fishing & rooting. Cmon lads I need your help, I have read the forum but need you help. Thailand here I cum (3 weeks)

I recently finished reading a book entitled **Romance on the Road: Traveling Women who Love Foreign Men.** This is about women’s counterpart activities: sex tourism and zipless flings in which traveling women from the more well-to-do parts of the world get their groove back with willing young men in Third World countries. A lot of this is older and less attractive women who are in unwelcome celibacy in their own countries going to Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America to get it on with “Big Bamboo” and various other kinds of young “beach boys.” The book was written by an American woman who reports on some of her own travel sex flings and seems to have gone to some lengths to document her reports with extensive interviews and background research.

Much of the activity, like in Jamaica, is relatively commercialized, but in many instances the monetary component is more indirect, like American, Canadian, and European women sending back gifts or occasional monetary support to their beach boyfriends. So it’s a lot like us older men getting it on with young Thai and Filipina women, although many of the women may see it through a deluded romantic lens, whereas for us it’s mostly about getting our rocks off. Also, there are presumably many fewer of these sex tourist women.

My reason for posting this – and I’m repeating it on several forums – is the depiction from the author of numerous Korean, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, and, especially, Japanese women, traveling to beach areas in Southeast Asia to hook up with Thai, Bali, and other countries’ beach boys. The difference here, however, is that the bulk of Japanese women thus engaged are reportedly younger than 30. For these women, according to the author, it’s about freeing themselves from the so-called chauvinistic shackles of Japanese society. The most common destination for the East Asian women is Thailand, and, especially, Phuket. So I’m wondering, first, whether others in the ISG tribe have observed this phenomenon on Phuket or other beach resort areas. Second, if these East Asian women tourists are conspicuous in Southeast Asian resort areas, what are the prospects for Western mongers hooking up with them for freebie flings?

Observations and comments welcome.

Can anyone give advice on Christin Massage in Phuket (Whats included in the price)? - Or, could anyone tell me where to go on Phuket if you only have like 3 hours in the afternoon (!) and want to have some fun?

Anyone with experience taking their gf/spouse to Thailand for p4p? I'm looking to visit in October and would like to know what to expect before we get there :)

I have been to DR and Cancun, not exactly a mongering paradise and now that I am completely divorced and free to do whatever I want, Phukett for a week is looking really, really good to me. I did travelocity and priceline searches and its well-within budget, with plenty left over for extracurriculars. I will be going alone.

Can anyone recommend a hotel to stay at? Would like a place where they don't give you third degree or ask for ransom to bring up a "guest." I would like to be on a beach for a daily intake of eye candy.

What is the conversion rate USD to Bhat?

Do you fly directly into Phukett?

Lala Bay - try the "search this thread" tool - lots of posting on Christins for you to read if you just look for it.

Dog Man, unless you are going to Phuket to scuba dive, which by the way, is not that great anyway, I would suggest Jomtien, in Pattaya. you will have lots more eye candy from which to choose.

And yes, you can fly direct into Phuket, (HKT), but pretty much only within Asia. (There might be a couple non stops from Europe, I don't know for sure)depends from where you are departing. You talk about DR, and Cancun, so I take it you are US based. If that is the case, you will need to fly to BKK fisrt, though there are flights from Hong Kong into Phuket.
