There is truth in here. It also depends on whether the girl is usually in high demand. I was looking at that slim, tall and super-cute girl in Rainbow 1 in Nana. It was 20.30 (early) and she got barfined by a Jap guy nimutes later. The mamasan said she gets paid 10000THB (ten thousand). Day after I was there at the same time (after 20.00 hours). She again (along with another similar hottie) got barfined before the action got to build up. Again by a Jap who took TWO girls. In my personal oood luck lol. They probably won't even talk to you unless you're a Japanese or politely offer them 10K Baht to begin with.

I asked the mamasan how much they get and she again said ten thousand. Just didn't understand if that's LT or ST or was it just a way to say that she doesn't go with farangs. Anyway, they got barfined in MINUTES by the Japanese customers. I reaaaaaaly doubt anyone could find it easy to negotiate about anything with such girls, not to mention that they seemed complete starfish and probably would not go with anyone except Japanese (maybe also Koreans and Chinese?).

The girls I typically get are also targeted by the Japanese: true Asian slim, petite built, cute / pretty face and the younger the better. I do get girls like that without too many problems in most cases (I'm still quite young, dress well and act polite along with not trying to be tight or at least look so) but I know if I hesitate too long she will be taken by someone else (most probably a Japanese or some young white guy). It did happen a fe times in the past. And those girls ARE taken EVERY night. It's just that sometimes they don't show up at work and choose by themselves when to come or even with whom to go. Just pay the barfine. Therefore "negotiating" to 3K for LT after being a "regular" customer isn't really much of an achievement I should say.

Last November a friend who is oriental was wondering around Nana. He was being quoted 4000 be for LT. This was in the Rainbow 4 bar. That is totally crazy. I have not ventured in to a rainbow bar since as one time the door guy acted like an ass so I told him to put it where the sun doesn't shine. Have no interest in going back. Actually I don't care for Nana itself. To many other places to do my shopping.

I think Nic is correct. Get to be a regular and the picture will change for you. 3000 baht is a good LT price, very fair and all. Still, it is on the high end and must be earned. 1500 to 2000 is also fair for ST. Again negotiate, see what happens.

3000 LT is of course fair. That's what I pay too, and it's not hard to get it. That's not the same as the 2000 or 1000 for LT that was mentioned. If someone gets that often, do report.

I just had a great time with another Nana gogo girl. Great performance and she offered a massage afterwards. That lasted for 20 minutes. So much for gogo girls being bad.

The fun with ladies in central Bangkok has waned over last 10 years and if you remember how unsophisticated the women were there then.
Well now the ones in the flesh trade over there are about as unsophisticated as your can get and now its alot harder to find the grey area girl next door hanging out in the zone.
Many regular girls dont want to venture over there because of police sweeps and the dodgyness of the area.

If you like ladyboys you'll be happy The area offers more feminine chicks with penis than anywhere else.

In some respects Bangkok is a nicer city now with more malls and increased rapid transit access.
Even expanded skywalks along BTS. If they can connect the skywalks thru out the place will be much better. I have even seen a new subway tunnel connection to new mall.

Younger guys will do pretty good hooking up on websites or normal venues because girls are less interested in age gap then ever before.

For the most part other than professional service oriented relationships I would suggest your don't bother trying to find a soul mate in the red light district.

For any Xpats living in the region the sence of Xenaphobia is as much or more than ever. The bright light of business ideas you may have going off in your head resemble to the locals something more like a target. Random police searches of foreigners are prevalent and give the message that your not welcome in Thailand.
