Just curious regarding the practicals of possessing weed and cocaine in Medellin. Not much of a partier these days, but hey, I would dabble a bit if it's legal. The last thing I want is to get tossed in a jail in Colombia for what is essentially a small use. I have read that you can legally possess up to 20 grams of marijuana and 1 gram of cocaine. If you are well behaved and carry a copy of your passport, is there any real issue regarding the police?
Have also read that the police are tolerant in tourist areas, which Medellin is not. I'd hate to depend on the charity of the police to stay out of trouble. My experience with the police in Mexico taught me that I must look like a walking ATM.
