Female petitioner has theoretically as many opportunities to petition in a male as many times as she wants to over an unlimited period of time. Talk about sexist legislation. Male is only limited to two opportunities in a lifetime. Yeah, that's equal protection under the law.
On the bus to AC I looked around and everyone looked kind of ....middle aged or older. A bunch old horny old gits on the "sex for seniors" bus. Of course it then dawned on my that I was only a few years behind them. I will say that I am a lot slimmer than most of the guys on the bus....
I wonder if I'll still be riding the "S for S" bus thirty years from now. Hope so.

I’M deep into plans for another visit to the Philippines and Thailand in early September. Most of my time will be spent in Angeles City, Bangkok and Manila, with side trips to Butuan, Cebu, Pattaya and, briefly, Udon Thani. As a consequence, I don’t know where to post this. I guess I’ll start in the Philippines section and continue in Thailand. Good to see that dollar exchange rates are creeping upward. I’m starting early because I intend to write an extended report, adding notes as preparations and then the trip progress. It may be interesting to compare expectations with results. I hope this will be of interest to the board. It may also provide some guidance to those with less experience.comments and question invited.
Thanks to a tip, I signed up at Date In Asia in late July. Since then, my cup hath runneth-ed over with possibilities. After a week or so, my inbox had started to get out of hand, so I changed my profile to scare away as many as possible, making it clear that I wasn’t in the market for a wife. This improved the quality and reduced the quantity of emails I was getting. I now have three I will definitely see and six more I might as time and change permit.
Here’s the basic itinerary:

Butuan City, 3 days, Dotties
Cebu, 1 day, Cebu Midtown
Angeles City, 4 days, Pacific Breeze
Udon Thani, 1 day, Charoensri Grand
Pattaya, 3 days, View Talay 2 condo
Bangkok, 5 days, Majestic Suites
Manila, 4 days, Best Western La Corona
All of these are new hotels for me except for the Cebu Midtown. Plane tickets are mostly bought and paid for except for two Cebu Pacific flights, whose website won’t accept my credit card. I’ll have to buy these on the ground in Manila or Butuan. The big flights are all with PAL, which did a fine job for me last time, including a wonderful free upgrade to business class on the long ride home to LA. Hotels are all booked and partly paid for. I've stocked up on condoms and Cialis and bought fresh batteries for the ol' Pocket Rocket, which always wins friends. I bought a new small format camera so I don't have to lug my larger digital. I'll start assembling gear and pre-packing in another week.
The three "definites" – knowing that things can go astray – are Janice (Butuan), Nenita (Angeles) and Pen (Pattaya). Janice is a poor girl, an orphan who lives with relatives. She needs money but has been careful not to ask. In our last chat, she was concerned that I would be disappointed by her clothes. I told her I grew up wearing my older brother’s hand-me-downs. Since there is not much to do in Butuan, I’ll probably take her shopping. But I told her I was more concerned with what she didn’t wear, which got a laugh.
Nenita lives in Angeles City, but doesn’t work the bars, she says. She is the prettiest of all and is lots of fun to chat with. I met her early, but the emails stopped and I thought she wasn’t interested. It turns out she had been visiting family in Olangapo and wrote backwhen she returned. Another chat is planned for this afternoon – 4 am her time. Hmmm.
Pen is from Nongkai. She’ll meet me in Udon Thani, fly to Bangkok with me for a taxi to Pattaya. I know this is a bit like carrying coals to Newcastle, but she turned down my alternate suggestions and said she’d never been to Pattaya. We’ll stay in a condo rented from a board member. She might be a little chubby – can’t tell from a mug shot – but she volunteered right away to be my woman in Thailand and to take VERY good care of me. I could stand to be babied for a few days.
Two years ago, I mined Cherry Blossoms and met four excellent women, one of whom I started a long term relationship with, visiting her twice more. But I broke some hearts and was sorry for it. I didn't really mean to do it again, only to check out DIA and see what the noise was about. When I changed my profile there, I really hoped it would push them all away, but it worked out differently. All the girls think they're on my list of possible longterm companions and seem prepared to audition (if that's the word) for the part.

One more reason I prefer the plain old Victory Liner to Fly the Bus etc. Though come to think of it I'm not sure why I should like being the oldest guy on the bus instead of the youngest.
Well, first blood to the Philippines. This just in. Janice, the girl from Butuan, just hit me up for 9000 pesos to buy blood for her sister’s baby. She sent three identical pleas; I sent a one-word answer: "No" and didn’t even sign it. She’s now calling me on Yahoo Messenger, saying "Sorry. It’s okay. I understand. " Me, too. I understand.
But how to play it? The clean way is a complete cut. Accept my loses, which would include flights and three days of hotel. But if I could shift my Manila-Butuan flight to Cebu, I could skip Butuan and spend four days in Cebu. Tempting, if expensive. I might even drum up some Cebu talent on DIA.
Or I could go and scout the talent in Butuan. Use the flights and the room. No financial loss that way. But conflict is forecast down that road.
Or I could go and use her. She’ll know that bonking me silly is her best defense and best offense. I could play it so that she would do that. Then leave. Payback. I’m still thinking.
In the meantime, a tip on one of the boards clued me in that Cebu Pacific doesn’t take Visa cards (despite its availability on the website) but is happy to accept Mastercard. I have a Mastercard ATM and decided to try it. Success! Well, to be accurate, the first ticket purchase went through without a hitch but then wouldn’t go through on the second. The card issuer, seeing a second foreign transaction, clamped on the lid. A phonecall cleared that up, and I’m in business.
Also, a Cebu girl that I had given up on suddenly reappeared. I figured that, having told her I would only have one day instead of the two originally planned, I had chased her away. As it turns out, she’s happy to meet me for one day and night, so I won’t have to go out chasing girls around Osmena Circle after all. She’s not the prettiest of my contacts, but pretty enough on webcam, so I’m looking forward to the delights she has suggested will be mine.
A friend of mine who was my wingman the previous trip sent me contacts for four girls – three in Angeles City and one in Manila. I sent emails to three of them but no reply yet. I don’t really care if they do or not, as there is plenty of talent in both spots, and several of my remaining possibles from DIA are in Angeles and Manila anyway. My friend had never been mongering anywhere except in the Philippines until I pursuaded him to try Pattaya, Bangkok and Cambodia. He has now abandoned the Philippines (which is why he was willing to share) and is looking for a place to live in Phnom Penh. Lucky guy!
But I guess I wouldn’t mind if some of his contacts wrote back, especially the one in Manila. They come highly recommended, and he’s a picky customer.

Minor quibble about La Corona. They had some kind of rubber protector on the mattress which made the sheets slide off more easily than normal.
If you're kinky, maybe just take the sheets off and do it on the rubber cover. Then you can just wipe off the various droppings when it's time for sleep.
We need a Butuan field report! There is no Mindanao thread at ISG, but you might find some info about Butuan in the Davao thread or Dragon Slayer forum.

I've taken the regular bus out of AC, but it's been a long time since I've done it the other way.
Can you confirm? The bus would go to the Dau terminal and then you are looking at a 50 peso trike ride to the hotel. So total expense is under 250 pesos?
The only problem I had with the regular bus is they were playing some damn Filipino radio station at rather high volume.

I am always amazed at the guys who are still interested in getting into commitments with Filipinas after all the posts of terrible experiences. Perhaps the question that should help clear thinking is: would you get into financial and legal commitments with a ***** from a *****house in the US?
Fastpiston has failed to clarify his information. I do believe he is suggesting not to get into commitments with a bargirl / prostitute.
Any suggestion that a Filipina marriage equates to marriage to a prostitute would be an unfortunate comparison. The ISG website, last time I checked, is about scoring women. P4p is just a subset of that.
I personally don't think marriage is a smart choice for men like myself, but FP seens to be referring to a certain classification of professional sex-workers (bless their hearts).
If I've misread FP's post, I hope he will clarify things.

Exactly. Or if you hate dealing with AC trike drivers, just walk out to MacArthur and catch a jeepney for P8. An iPod is useful against the bus radio (or these days, more likely a video).

The trike mafia will probably ask for at least 70 P from Dau now, it might take a while and some bargaining skills to get 50 P for a porreigner.
Bus should be around 130+ aircon, so yes, all in about 200+

Good info, though I think a truly dedicated CC should also know that you can even do without the cab in Manila by taking the LRT to EDSA/Taft station. The Pasay bus terminals are just a short and really unpleasant walk east from there along EDSA.
