It's a basic room at a good value for the money and it gives you a more local vibe where you will pick up the language quicker and be exposed to local street food and Indonesian culture.

I actually take pride in the fact that I am not the same as thr other 97% of bules / gringos who visit places for short periods of time and don't have any interest in the local culture. I might be a monger but I am very different than your run of the mill Bali loving bule tourist.

Getting from the airport to the city center and around could be better. Got off plane and followed the crowd because could not see signs or official directing where to go.
