I doubt the bar / mama would have settled for 1500 per week or 200 per day. Well done if I'm wrong!

A couple of other options:

If he got on so well with the Subic girl, just get her to meet him in AC. It's so close that I doubt he will be able to escape the Barfine but she will be able to travel to and from easily.
