I think the whole process of landing in Manila and getting to your hotel, then getting around to Burgos / Malate / wherever in Manila is a pain in the ass. Nothing like having all the bars in one area and walking back with your babe for the night. Manila has hotter chicks but more expensive for sure--but still cheaper than almost anywhere. Worth checking out if you have the time and don't mind the hassle.

I figure this is due to historical reasons going back to the relationship the bars originally had servicing Clark Airforce base even before WW2, the EWR setup which is very different from everywhere else except Subic, and to where the girls originally come from. The bar raids of a couple of years ago also had an influence, albeit a negative one. But I am glad to hear from you that AC is still really good. I want to go back, but that will have to wait until the trip after the one coming up. I have already booked two weeks in Manila plus that little side trip I mentioned to Palawan with the girls. I am also going to spend another 4 weeks in BKK. What can I say? I have really good times there although I freely admit that my top two girls going back three trips now were from Manila. Do you simply shell out the expensive bar fines, like 2,500 to 3500 pesos for only the bar fine plus the additional cost of the girl? So that means I am paying like 5-6,000 pesos all night plus my drinks on top of that. This is what kind of scares me away from Burgos. I have been there numerous times, and I refuse to pay over 3,000 pesos for all night with a girl in the Phils. So, when I am in Makati, I go to Burgos and convince a bar girl I like to come over to my room when she finishes work. The downside to this is I have to wait unitl 5 am for them to come over, and by then it becomes short time by default which I personally prefer LT. Also, I have had a few "no shows" employing this strategy as I presume they either got bar fined while I was sleeping (lol) or they simply wanted to go home being its so late. I really do want to like Manila more, but I find it so expensive on Burgos. So, what is your advice, specifically for making the Burgos scene work without shelling out all the glue ?

I agree with you that the Burgos Bar's Barfine is completely out of control. Plus it is killing business. The girls are the first to realize this. Thus whenever you have an economic situation where prices are set artificially too high without taking into account real supply and true demand forces, you create an environment where a grey market can come into existence and flourish. As I understand it, this grey market is now the current situation in Burgos Bars where the girls will go around the bar and see their REGULAR customers privately on their own. The mamasans are not stupid and must realize something is a tither whenever a popular girls does not show up at the bar for a week, but there is a sort of nod and a wink approach as long as the violation is not in the mamasan's face. So I paid my girls 4400 pesos each (including generous tips) for approximately 5 hours of their mutual time per session which included everything on my to do list including one shot per vagina. Dinner and drinks were always a part of our arrangement. The only time I paid the barfine at this bar was on my last night in town when I told the girls beforehand that I wanted to party at their bar and have a really good send off. They warned me it was going to be very expensive, but I told them I did not care. And boy did we have a party. And boy was it expensive with my two girls' barfine + a negotiated barfine and drinks for their DUFF (dumb ugly fat friend - just kidding) + a few shots for the mamasan (and she comped a few shots back to me) + small tip for the waitress and bartender + 4400 pesos each for my girls + 1000 pesos for their DUFF who I did not shag, but who blew me a few times anyway. It was the best night I have had in at least 4 or 5 years.

Rogues Bar might be a good place to begin. It is a good no hassle bar and they have the least expensive barfine on Burgos of 1600 pesos last time I checked. Kojax is the hottest bar right now and its barfine is now 2900 pesos up from 2500 pesos in 2015. Girls usually want an equivalent amount for themselves so a Rogues girl will want 1600 or 1700 pesos while a Kojax girl will want 2900 or 3000 p and a Bottoms girl will want 3900 p. Always confer with the mamasan before you start buying rounds so it is understood how many lady Tequilas are included in the barfine.

My problem is I am only passing through Makati for about 3 nights max before I hit AC for 10 to 14 days and I am only in the Phillies twice a year. I have bar fined girls from Rogues due to the attractive bar fine, but last time I was there in June, Rogues had very poor selection and small amount of girls. I walked into Kojax, and it was by far and away the best club (I did visit most of the other bars) qualitywise, and Bottoms was a distant second. Oh well, back to the drawing board for me in Makati.

As for the comparisons of AC and other places there just aren't any. But when I'm there in that poor little Las Vegas I am in awe of the locals. It's all about survival and pleasure which creates this interesting huge paradox.

I don't feel sorry for anyone there, or anywhere else in the world, there's so much to learn if you're human. Some / most people will never get it.

So what is it that makes AC so special for me is the raw world in which they survive and some thrive. After my 4 weeks in Thailand it was so refreshing to not be judged on my age, looks, or disposition. I am an American buyer of their services and that's all.

I look as many locals (I can) in the eye and we make a connection, a good one 99% of the time. The place is not for everyone and on this board we all should respect the guys that do love the place for whatever reason they choose.

The above sentiment is one reason I love the place. Sitting at an outdoor restaurant and watch the street kids duel over supremacy or just play and laugh is a gift for me. Sometimes we miss the simple pleasures for one reason or the other, especially here.

But you (Natty) don't and that's what we have in common. Plus we're after the same type of women which I will tell you aren't readily available in AC. What makes up for this is casual and simplistic nature of most bar girls.

In Makati you will find most women in the trade have bank accounts and some go to college. They dress nicely and there are many more exotic beauties to choose from, they're big city women, and they provide the same passion as their country pumpkin counterparts in AC. The only thing lacking is that they adhere to the clock regarding short time or long time. Still I have never felt rushed w the big city Makati ladies and I can enjoy the night w / them for a few hours ending in a blissful session in my room.

The AC ladies will look at you funny if you ask them if they have a bank account as to imply they don't even know what that is. A couple of years ago w / one Doll House dancer w / a lot of class the next morning as we were getting ready to part she asked me a question. She asked if I thought she should be giving money to her cousin and of course I said, are you crazy? She thinks her income from this rough trade is meant for all her family and that tomorrow does not exist. That's how they think in AC. Their world is incredibly different than ours and that's another reason I love the women there. They have such big hearts it's refreshing to be w / them.

There are many reasons to visit AC and for those like NS that only think of the looks of the women. That's fine of course but you're missing out on the beauty of life in general. If you're only interested in the DDG stunners do not go to AC. It's all very simple and no one is better than the other on both sides of the playing field, bar girls, market owners, bankers, hotel operators, Viagra venders. Same as on our side, if you like them super fine or you like them short and plump.

While so many things go wrong (girls late, infrastructure, internet speed, culture), there are (almost by accident, it seems) so many other things that go right. For instance, you get a full GFE when you least expect it (ie, a bargirl or first time you meet a dating site girl). Even though you are clear with a dating site girl that you want nawty only, she keeps coming back, becoming more friendly each time, apparently just for the thrill of hanging around with you.

Speaking of an outdoor resto (not in AC), there's a small place in Mango Square, pizza, pasta and such. Its upstairs-only, with about eight 2-4 person tables (pics below). My long-time cebuana, who I've posted multiple times in the PG, provides the exact simple pleasures Socker speaks of. Walking down Mango, having one drink and live band in several bars, then having dinner at this place (you walk up a skinny set of stairs to get up to the tables), with a nice breeze blowing, just being quiet with her, holding hands, and people-watching while modestly (ok fairly) drunk, was a magical experience. She never had clams / pasta before: "I enjoy so much". Her amazing heat in the dark is another magical experience. I close my eyes and I can still hear the noisy jeeps moving up Maxilom Avenue towards the circle; I can taste her breath while she was kissing me in the hotel later.

Careful Westy, that almost sounded romantic. You don't do romance, right? Westy? Westy?
