Thursday afternoon around 5pm, me and another isg member went to GBP. About 5 chicas. They were wearing Hawaiian type oufits. Free lap dances from two of the chicas. After a few hours hanging in and around 360. We went to bar atarazana, open bar, 300 pesos to get in. The place was packed. Not worth it, you will wait at least 30 minutes standing at the bar trying to get a drink. Some cute chicas there that night.

Some chica had called me a few days ago. I had no clue who she was, I still don't know her name. She called me thursday and I invited her to bar atarazana. I drove back to the coppa, it was around 5am, not too many chicas inside. When I parked my car outside on the malecon a few chicas were standing near where I parked my car. A skinny one came over to me, she said 100 dollars, I laughed, took her less than a second to go from 100 dollars down to 2000 pesos. I had no interest so I drove away. I am sure she would have taken 1000 or less.

Went to my hotel and slept alone. Called a chica who I met online, I was having sex with her within 15 minutes of meeting her for the first time today. She asked for no money. I stayed with her for about an hour before I drove to Santiago. When she was getting out of the car, I gave her 600 pesos. Money was never discussed and appeared to me that she was not expecting to get any money. No complaints from me, she had a nice body and sucked the dick pretty good, did doggy, cowgirl and missionary.

Nasty accident on the highway to santiago today, traffic moved very little for at least two hours, two tractor trailer trucks and one smaller truck were on their sides blocking the two northbound lanes. Maybe one or two of the drivers were killed.

I'll give more details when I am in the States. The guy and his cohorts involved in this scam, I am sure will meet an early demise. There is too much money to be lost from tourism here, that some rich business people here will take of this problem (not in a nice way).

Yes please report on this scam, I am extremely interested I live there and if there is something to warn people about I would certainly like to know of it.

Don't spend much time in Santiago, although I hope to change that in the near future. And if they are successful there it only makes sense that they will try and operate in other locales on the island, so preach on.

It tends to happen just as guys start to gain a little confidence at let their guard down. We should all learn a lesson. To quote Barack Obama, "I don't know all the facts" but it tends to boil down to being around anybody except the girls we pursue. That is when the problems happen. It helps to keep things simple by remembering the point of the exercise.. Getting laid often and well. That's not likely to happen when you are in the company of: taxistas, touts (aka "guides"), "nice guys" you meet around your hotel, etc. I try to keep the baggage to a bare minimum and focus on the girls. That's not a guarantee they don't try stuff themselves but let's face it we are much better positioned to protect ourselves from them than we are from some guy who has survived the prison system.

Anyway, a couple of red flags you may find helpful. The hairs on the back of your neck should stand up when some random guy approaches you and addresses you in English, especially the variety you would hear in a "scared straight" video: "you can't trust that motherfucker" or "I can get you some fine ass bitches" I hate to stereotype but you should not assume the goal of someone like that is to promote Dominican tourism. By the way, I have it on very good authority that more than a few of the "official tourist guides" who work the Colonial Zone are deportees with criminal records. Believe it or not, an earlier government decided giving them government IDs from the Tourism Ministry was a way to employ them and stop them preying on the Dominican public. Well, it worked, but now they prey on foreign tourists instead.

Be aware, be very aware.

Driving around today, I came upon another car accident, two dead bodies were hanging out of one mangled car, the mangled car was in the lane to my right, I saw the dead young guy and woman very clearly. Puts things into perspective. What happened to me last night was an annoyance. I lost no money, I may have misread the situation and over reacted. Sometimes it is better to walk away from certain chicas, if you are getting a weird vibe from them. I will do some things differently in the future, so that I will not be in that same situation again.

Still a fun place. I was shut out in Santiago, no sex (I had opportunities but passed on several), I had a fun time. Some very rich people in Santiago, I saw a bunch of chicas who reminded me of Rosalyn Sanchez. Saturday night was party night, seems everyone was out.

I'll post more details about last night shortly. What I learned is that I have to be careful what chicas I hang out with and there are some things that I will do differently in the future. Most of the advice previously posted on this board, would have been useful last night. I just have to do a better job SCREENING certain chicas, before I hang out with them.

I don't doubt you as I know every word you wrote is true. I often see "gringos" hanging out with these "helpful" English speaking Dominicanos and just handing over money hand over fist. I just shake my head.

Sit at Pacos Restaurante long enough and you will pretty much be able to tell who is who.

There's one guy who hangs out on El Conde, they call him the "singer", who when in the US was busted for drugs and when he got released was deported to SD. He was on an ankle monitor and restricted to a curfew down there. Has light skin, inked up all over and really deep voice. Lots of shady dudes like that in SD. There is one cool kid, name of Johnathan, who cleans tennis shoes really awesome on El Conde (usually across from or in vacinity of the Mecure Hotel), say 20 years old, who is a decent English speaking kid who says he has 18-20 y.o. "girlfriends", lol. Last I was there, a little under two years ago, he was hoping to land a hotel gig, which is middle class down there! May take him up on that my next trip in a couple weeks. Needless to say, they're all looking for a buck! I've never really seen kids sleeping in the street until I went to SD, I mean young kids. Fucked up, man. CR has guys sleeping in the streets, but not kids for Christ's sake.

I have to admit that I've paid someone to take me to some of the bars who "speaka the language", but I'm learning. Buy them a drink and modest propina and they can be a big help. When they become a shadow, different story!!
