Campo has the largest selection but in the other places such as Race Cafe and Havana there are some gems. Do not go to Amigos it is a waste of time and in my opinion the least safe. Both places you can order take out. They both have A ROOM within the club but you have to wait until it is unoccupied. On the same sheets. Don't even think about it.

At Race Cafe the girls are required to dance and the shows start circa 23:30 hrs, if you want to leave with a girl before she dances the price for the "bar" is doubled. After she dances and a little negotiation you can average around $150. $250 for the night. It all depends on the girl and how many other offers she has or if she takes a fancy to you, they are usually finished by 3am and are free to do as they please.

I am contemplating a visit to Curacao next week for about 10 days and just read that the island has quite a celebration for Carnivale with a parade on Sunday and another for Fat Tuesday. Does this mean that the island is maxed out with tourists along with full hotels, restaurants, and beaches or can I expect a more mellow experience? Particulary wondering how these events might impact Campo too?

I don't have a reservation yet but I am considering an apartment that I know about. In any event, are the hotels generally GF?

Last week for the first time we have noticed some girls started charging higher prices. Some were asking 75FL and some 100FL. And they did not want to agree to the regular 50FL.

So that often it is cheaper to rent a villa for several people.

It's a bit upscale, but turned out to be a great pick for me (Thanks, Pogo!). Loved the place. Great architecture in a historic district, several restaurants, tropical garden with waterfalls, great rooms with a/c, kingsize bed that could handle a bit of commotion, ... simply a great place to hang out with your lover. 20 mnts by car to Campo/airport. Did you confuse Williamsburg in USA Virginia with Willeamstaad Curacao? .

I've also stayed in this hotel, it's nice but rather expensive. The price comes to at least $200 per nite. Even though rates start from $160 per nite, they price becomes $200 after adding taxes. I would rather stay in a $100 and spend the saved $100 for girls. More money spent on girls means more fun you have.

There are some cheaper hotels such as Best western in Otrobanda, Clarion near WTC and some others.

My favorite area would be Piscadera where Hilton and Marriot are. There are also some villas and apartments for rent too. In my opinion a villa for $150 / nite is much better than a $200 hotel room.

Piscadera hotels are closer to the Airport and Campo than most other hotels, and also close to Willemstaad too. I've heard that one can get a good rate at Hilton, just need to talk to the manager. They have some special low rates (just above $100) for locals, so somehow you'd need make them to believe you're local. One fried has done that.

I have booked rooms for workers staying on the Island for 1-2 weeks. There is a no "frills" hotel we use that is relatively less expensive than the big names. The advantage is your room key can be used on the gate at the entrance in order to drive and park in front of your door. In other words you do not have to escort any visitors through the lobby.

It is 7-10mins from Campo and the airport. Depends on who is driving. And about the same distance to Otrobanda for shopping, casinos, resturants etc. It is on the main road from the Airport heading to the major hotels in Willemstad, so if you do not have a rental car, transportation will not be a problem. A major supermarket is 2 mins (walking) away.
