Looking to book my 3rd trip to happy land and first time to Pattaya. Last time I was there in March I paid 1150 airfare. Now it 1475 to 1700 for a plane ticket. I did some searching and found that it is only 1167 if I fly to Hong Kong then book a flight with Hong Kong airlines to Bangkok. I have tried every travel site I know of. Maybe someone can give me a better site to try.

I usually go thru Taipei, but full, so started to look at Hong Kong, check Cathay Pacific and the price showed up at 130, 000 baht plus for economy. I had used CP website before and I have seen their prices above and beyond what everyone is charging but this is crazy! Not sure why? Maybe someone can confirm what I'm seeing. If true it makes no sense that is more than first class on other carriers.

There is not much difference in distance by the crow flies from Sukhumwit Soi 11 to either airport, but Don Mueang usually is cheaper as a bit more direct path. If you can afford air fare then you can afford a meter taxi. They are very cheap.

All price factors. If you don't tell your origin airport it is also tough to help.
