Why would anyone traveling want to find a Gringo bar? Every state in the US is full of Gringo bars. Most cities have areas with hotels, restaurants and bars that cater to to tourists. Everything costs more, but there's a good chance you'll find someone who speaks English. Just go on TripAdvisor and look for areas with lots of hotels with bad reviews for silly reasons: "housekeeping did not speak English", "only 2 English channels on the television", "no ice machine", "restaurant menus aren't in English". You've found the Gringo zone.

A much better option is to read the forum and other forums if your looking for non-mongering information. Learn some Spanish, for about $40 you can get a course complete with CDS. Just knowing the difference between caballeros and damas is a big help.

If you do find a gringo bar, stay there. You can drink and talk with a Bible salesman from Minneapolis and complain about the metric system.

The Mansion is full with a wait, as is Poblado Rentals and First American. Even the hammocks and bunk beds in Jake's commune are getting booked.

And it's not just us mongers, every block within a 10 block radius of Parque Lleras has a couple hostels full of robust smelling Europeans.

Where does that leave our hobby? Depends on whether you're looking short or long term. Short term, Medellin's homeless population has begun to migrate towards Poblado to welcome the new arrivals. The scams are getting bolder, and the chicas are probing to see how much they can get away with. I had to carry a rowdy hooker out of my friend's apartment last month because she insisted showing up was enough to be paid for. Refusing to fuck anyone, and simply saying 'Tengo ir, pagame'. We're just at the point of the chica push, and not quite and the gringo push back. The war vet with ptsd that decides he doesn't feel like being scammed tonight, etc.

The whole of the locals' scene is largely intact, as that shit doesn't fly among the paisas. And the centro scene is still a little colorful for most of the gulch dregs, so we've got some time. So while these guys are in a rush to turn Medellin into Costa Rica, us vets are slowly eyeballing Havana and Caracas.

Some kind of promotion in Metro going on. Today, April 6, all rides on Metro is free until 4 PM. Casa trips just got cheaper.

300 euros! Current going rate is about 3000 bhat for long time which means toda la noche. 3000 bhat is about $85 USD so is she fucked him day and night 3 days straight it isn't that much. Long ago, I spent some time at a Swinger club in Phoenix, back when Phoenix had them. Fahrenheit is one of the best disco. I don't know the rate of P4 P there. For sure you'll meet plenty of young talents, but you need to dress fancy and look very very good (men in Medellin are handsome as the girls).

I have been to Medellin 3 times this year. So my 6 bus rides still have not added up to your 1 taxi ride. I think the bus stops at midnight and starts back up again at 3:30am.
