I went to have a look at Vila Mimosa today Sunday with an uber from Centro (2 USD). I went through the entire street (Sotero dos Reis) by car until Club Mosaico which was closed at 5 pm and it didn't look like it was going to open at any time. No opening hours, nothing written on it, although Google maps says it opens at 4 pm on Sunday.
To be honest, I didn't even get out of my car and I rerouted it to São Cristovão metro station (whose entrance is quite confusing. You have to go up a ramp three floors and then pass the train station to get to the metro station).
I didn't like Vila Mimosa. I saw no guys looking remotely like security but a lot of drunk black Brazilian guys in groups. All together there were very few girls and much more guys than girls in the little bars (everybody was black, it reminded me of Africa too much, not Brazil). Probably there is some kind of maffia security guys but they are not obvious. I saw a cute young black girl in one bar while passing but I didn't see anybody looking like a foreigner or a middle class Brazilian in those streets.
Later in the evening I had a drink at Mab's and there were quite a lot of girls hanging around seated or standing in between the restaurant and the terrace. Unfortunately, I didn't see any young pretty girl above a 6.

It's open from 9 pm to 6 am (Monday through Saturday and from 10 pm to 6 am (Sunday).
I agree, Villa mimosa is not for middle class and upper class Brazilians. Vila mimosa is not dangerous, I've been there many times, especially at night just to walk around and visit some bars before going to mosaic or a metal party with some friends. Sometimes when I see some stunners I ask them for their number or if it's not a busy day I get a fast blow job. I would say that 98 per cent of women working in Vila mimosa are ugly but you can still find some gems if you are lucky. Vila mimosa is a red light for the working poor or tourists on budget. But it's a good place to watch some action.
Mabs is a place intended for gringos especially old guys, most girls are below average. Most girls have been working there for many years, some even worked in the Help era.

Ill be traveling to Rio (new years time) for the first time and was wondering despite my research In not having luck with locating any good apartments that won't have an issue with bringing back company. The rates were unbelievable: the cheapest option, as I recall, being about 440 Real for 40 minutes. I knew right there that I was not going to do a session. I changed and while waiting for the bathroom to become available, glanced at the drink menu: beer at 30 Real and up, and alcohol prices even more. Went upstairs to the lounge. Looked the same as before, with maybe 20-22 girls, some standing around trying to get noticed, others sitting with other girls or some customers, of which there might have been around 15 or so. Most of the girls were Bel Prazer or Dudas standard, with maybe 2 or 3 somewhat better, but no way worth 4 times the price. Some girls made eye contact and wanted to join me but I declined since I did not want to waste their time, since there was no way in hell I was going to session with them. There were a couple of stripteases to full nudity by two girls while I was there, neither of whom were any great shakes. Stayed about an hour and left, which seemed to surprise the receptionists. No need to ever go there again, even with free admission. In short, this is a club for those who are either into conspicuous consumption and get their egos boosted by throwing away money, since they could get the same quality girls for a quarter of the price or better-looking escorts for half the price, or don't know where or how to find the same quality girls at far cheaper alternatives, especially during the week in Centro.
On Sunday took a walk around Praca Maua. Happened to walk by Boate Florida around 11:30 AM. A crowd of guys buying entry into the place. I recall reading that it is sometimes a gay bar; given the hour, and the look of some of the guys, I assume that some gay event was happening, so I moved on.

Confirmed the free look with the doorman so entered. Very dark, maybe 5-6 girls, none all that, maybe a step up from Mabs. Was told there were more girls upstairs but didn't go up. Supposedly usually about 13-14 girls. Takeout fee is 150 Real. Didn't check drink prices but probably usual rip off club prices. Left as I did not see anyone worth the 150 Real takeout fee plus the girl's fee. Might be cheaper than Solarium, depending on how much the girl wants.

I don't know if you know that half of Brazilians are considered Black. The only country that has more Black people than Brazil is Nigeria. That being said, I was not there when you were there and neither do I utilize your eyes. But I have been to VM like 100 times and would never say that everyone was Black or that it reminded me of Africa. Hell, I even posted pictures of the place a couple of weeks ago that displayed an accurate representation of how I have always seen the place.

It's better to go there at night from 7 pm. Thursday and Friday are the best days, I ve been to bel prazer and duda and never seen any doable girl. I am Brazilian and I know where I can get the same quality girls. I can fuck hookers cheaper or girls for free. When I am in solarium and find a stunner, I don't mind spending money, the price is not a problem as long as I can afford and have good time. It's still cheaper than in many countries.

Native or. White- native or. White-black and native). There are 40 millions Brazilians of African descent and 14 millions of them are as African as black Africans although some have some ethnic mixing.
