What tyrese1 experienced at Scandallo is disconcerting. I've never heard of anything like that happening anywhere in any country. Wondering what other people think. Is this a normal ocurrence? Or just a one off?

I told one of the security guards the situation and he said to pay or else they would kick me out. What the actual fuck. I thought tipping culture wasn't that big in Brazil. Why would I give you almost $200 USD in tips just for you partying with me? The security guard said I had 5 minutes to give her the money. I just said whatever and gave them are $1000. The other girls wanted tips too but security escorted them from my table, thankfully. I had never had this happen to me before, I was disgusted by the whole situation. This "security guard" that told you to pay or get kicked out was likely close friends with the girl or something. What you should've done is said "okay I'll leave" and then go to the lobby where you pay before leaving and asked to speak with an english speaking employee (they have at least a few there usually). If you explain that you never discussed paying these girls before they came and danced or partyed at your table and their now asking for 1000 then they would contact the manager on duty and explain your situation to them and manager would likely be on your side. The security guard would likely be in trouble and lose his job for this type of shakedown as well.

My last trip to Scandallo, I encountered an unfortunate situation with a girl and I asked to speak with an English speaking person as my Portugese is average at-best. They brought a security guy that speaks good english and I explained my situation to him. He then called the manager that was working at the time and explained my situation to him in Portugese and they made things right with me. Excellent customer service.

This is a business. They want you to keep coming back so they can take your money. You're far more valuable to them than the girls. As long as it's within reason, they will be on your side.

I think I stated this in previous post. The game is to Get you up to the room priority #1, get you to buy drinks, food upsell for the establishment #2, have you pay for their time #3. Everything is about getting your money. Players hustle the girls, they don't get hustled. My favorite response is maybe later. The only way to catch them off guard is an amazing fuck and unique gesture. And still that's only going to last if you send money when you are back in the states.

I guess this may be different in Brazil but the strip clubs I've been to in Mexico and Colombia the girls pounce on you as soon as you walk in. It's whatever though. Maybe it's my boyish good looks 😂 but I've also never had anything above 1200 proposed to me. I do think the "hangout for 2-3 hours" tho is unrealistic. I'the say 1/2 hour is more the norm. If they are hanging with you for two hours and you don't take them then yeah I think I'the be pissed. I suppose if they are drinking like fish from your bottle it's a more even trade. The amount registered on my credit card account so its confirmed as safe. As you stated there was an extra 26 brl added to her amount. Will do the cambio exchange which also loses 30 brl per 100 us dollars. But thanks for the response. I have multiple options now.

That is the normal case. But if you are a known local, they don't seem to have these problems based on what I saw.

As has been recommended many times, get a debit or credit card that refunds any ATM fees you incur. That will give you even more options. A Schwab checking account with debit card is a popular choice. You have to have an investment account with them as well, but I keep just a small amount of money in that account as I have my major investments elsewhere, and I make use of the debit card to pull money when I'm on an overseas trip. Schwab refunds any and all ATM fees I incur once a month at the end of the month.

Nothing like that has ever happened to me and I've been quite a few places. On the other hand, I'm not a chatter really. I have more trouble getting rid of girls than getting them to stay. But if I don't tell you I'm going to pay you for something don't expect that I'm going to give you any money for it. A tip is a tip because its optional. An agreement is not optional. In tyreses case, there was no agreement. She could have said no and left at any point in time. What's to prevent the girl from saying no, 1000 isn't enough it should be 3000 for me sitting here. Nothing. What if the guy intended to take her to a room but at the end she qoutes something too high. Does he still owe her money? No. I don't owe you anything unless I say I owe you something. Best to discourage this type of behavior.

There is a reason restaurants and other businesses leave the tip option on the bill but don't force you to tip. It's because that is bad business to ask for it. [/QUOTE]Lots of rookie mistakes but these can be fixed for your next trip.

1) Don't spend too much time with the girls if you aren't interested in them. 100% guarantee that they aren't going to go home with you for free just because you bought drinks for them.

2) don't argue with the girls or security. Talk directly to a manager. Ask the waiter to get him for you. The manager will sort it out and it is usually in your favor unless you get violent.

3) Learn to negotiate better. Always take 50% of their asking price as a counter to their offer. If she walks. She walks. If she is still hesitant, add R200 to your price and say it as a final price if you like her.

4) Talk to many girls as possible before making a decision. I always make sure to talk to at least 5-7 girls before deciding on which one unless one of them agrees to my price and what I want to do.

5) The bottle is a smart move. Make sure it is gin since almost all the girls drink gin tropical and don't share with other random guys. Only share with the girl you are talking to. If she doesn't agree to your price, she can leave without a tip since she was drinking with you. A max of 2-3 drinks per girl before you make your decision.

F1 is a crazy time to be in So Paulo and in Scandello. I wouldn't go but others enjoy the craziness.
