FKK Palace - Frankfurt

I have not visited Palace yet, but I can share this from my other FKK experiences.

1. You could purchase a robe and wear it, instead of a towel, if you choose to do so. In FKKW, they had both medium and large size towels. So you may want to ask the larger one.

2. You should ask the girl about it. Some girl will leave quickly after one pop, and the other will stay for full 30 min.

3. I used Hotel Premier near the train station. Nice facility, and the price was reasonable. Check www.hotel.de.

FYI,

As for your question about robes, when I visited FKK35, they offered robes or towels. I am not sure how widespread this practice is at FKKs, but I definitely prefer a robe.

At Palace you can also get a robe. But I have seen big boys there wearing a towel, there are 2 sizes and the bigger ones should fit you as well.

Have just returned from my first trip to Frankfurt FKKs. I used http://www.hotel.de/homepage_EN.asp to locate hotels as it was previously recommended by some posters.

I stayed at Hotel Am Kurfürstenplatz in Frankfurt (3 star)

It is clean, fairly quiet, less thank 2 km from Palace, i think. The rate was 50 € per nite, parking 5€ per nite (note: the exact location of hotel from the map that hotel.de site provides is inaccurate, and there are no clearly visible signs of hotel, just a small plaque near the door).

On the way to Palace, i also saw Ibis Hotel Frankfurt West (4 star), which the hotel.de quotes for about 70€. I think it is about 1 km away, ie within walking distance (if not raining!).

Both hotels are about 4 stops from HBF by S or U Bahn (ie not within walking distance to other attractions in central Frankfurt). However, it is within easy reach to the A5 for Oase and World.

I dont recollect seeing anyone wearing robes, although some use 2 towels, one for upper and one for lower body.

On my last trip to Palace for the near future, I arrived around 4pm Thursday. I had been hoping to reunite with Fernanda from Dusseldorf or Vanessa from Poland, but sadly neither turned up that day.

Getting on an S-bahn train at FRA without a ticket will cost a 40 Euro penalty fare if you are caught. There are no attendants on board normally. There are ticket checks on a random basis. I once spent a week in Frankfurt and was never asked to show a ticket once. Another time I was asked for it three times on a single train ride. You never know.

If you ever go back to the Palace, the U6 or U7 stop at Industriehof / Neue Boerse is only a few minutes walk from the Palace. The ticket from the airport to the Palace is the same price as the ticket from the airport to the Hbf.

I was on the S-bahn from FRA to HBF and wasn't able to buy a ticket from the machine because they won't take a 10e bill or larger.

On the train, the conductor came by and checked everyone's ticket. I said I tried to buy one at the machine but I only had a 10e note. He asked me where I was headed, then told me it would cost 1.85. I gave him the 10e and he gave me change. I guess he believed my story or he was particularly sympathetic.

How do you get to the U6 or U7 stop from HBF?

U6 can be accessed from Hauptwache, two stops on any S-bahn from Frankfurt Hbf.

I visited the Palace a couple of times in September, my first visits to an FKK. I'm hooked. Very relaxing way to spend an afternoon / evening, especially after stepping off a twelve hour plane ride.
