Walking late afternoon behing the Lafayette Galerie in the 8th district in the East part of Rue Joubert I found 6 to 7 SWs, some in cars and some in the bars. They are rather old, round 40, I would rate them 5-6 but one of them was about 35 year old (Rate: 7-8). Price is € 60.- for a (quick!!) s**k and f**k. After discussion, it seems that some of them are ready to go to hotels. I went again later at 10 pm other girls were there, same type.

I will be traveling to Paris during the next week and need some advice on SW activity around the Arc De Triomphe area.
I visited that area early this year and noticed some SW's later in the evening near Avenue Des Ternes, but was to nervous to approach any of them.
Being an American who does not speak French I was concerned about being busted by LE if some of the girls were decoys.
Do the French police actively patrol these areas looking to arrest potential John's?
Any advice on picking up ladies in this area would be greatly appreciated.

If I find a lady who speaks English is it safe to go back to her room or should I get the room?

There is always activities around the Arc de Triomphe specialy up to 10:00 pm. But there are other places in Paris, just look at the previous messages. Around la Madeleine, rue Joubert, rue Saint Denis, etc. Don't go to bars you will be rip off.

Prices: Euro 50 to 100 depending the quality.

LE like in US do not exist in France. You have absolutely not such risk by picking up a girl in the street. You can discuss your conditions with the girl very freely in the street . Take her to your hotel if you wish (and if she accepts). No problem.

Presevatif are widely used in France.

About being "too nervous to approach any of them": girls in France are not shy at being approached. Just use some kind of phrase like "hello, can I offer you a cup of coffee". The girl will answer if she is interested, or just walk on if she isn't.

About boulevard Victor Hugo: There is some activity in avenue Victor Hugo (from place V Hugo to Etoile), but I doubt there is "strong" activity in Neuilly.

I've never heard of the Paris police using decoys, as is common practice in the US. I think it is very safe to approach SWs in Paris. If anyone is going to get busted, it is the SWs themselves. I have heard of some recent crackdowns on the SWs but I think it is just a way to keep them somewhat under control, not an attempt to stamp them out completely.

It should be easy to tell the SWs from regular girls who might be dressed in a hot, sexy way and on their way to a club--the SWs tend to stay in one place and are ready to make eye contact easily.

Yes, it's safe, esp. with the girls around the Arc/Etoile area. The girl need not speak perfect English. As long as she understands enough to make the deal, that's good enough. The girl may have her own place nearby or she may be willing to go to your hotel if it's not far. A nice Moroccan girl once rode 6 stops on the metro with me back to my hotel near the Opera. I gave her an extra 20 euros for her trouble.
