Therefore, traffic it is not a problem when I need to reach other areas in SP.

Anyhow, if you come to SP for work, it is much better to stay in the area which is close to area you work, to avoid hours in the traffic.

Could you recomend a hotel in jarines. A nice on, I am not on a buget but I likt to be in a decnt hotel in a good location.

I will be in sao in 2 weeks and maybe someone is there too and we can explore the possibilityes. Would be realy good.

I recommend the Hotel Renaissance; located at the corner of Alameda Santos and Rua Haddock Lobo.

It's very confortable, GDP friendly, near to the Avenida Paulista, some of the best restaurants are in a walking distance and Rua

Oscar Freire is not far away.

I wrote a couple of days ago that the future Linha Lílas was interrupted a couple of months, in 2011, because there were some malversations.

This being said, I always take (and appreciate) the metro system in São Paulo. Clean, efficient (well, close to it) , fast.

I saw, yesterday, on a national Brazilian forum that there going to be a party for Fefão's (a manager at Espaço Morumbi and. If I'm not wrong. Now working at a privê on avenida Ceci (near Jabaquara) this coming Saturday (Saturday 12th).

Unfortunately when I want to access to the thread there's a message telling that I don't' have the right to access this thread (even if I can have access to all the other threads since I'm a member of that forum under the name Le Patriote).

Anybody have more details about this party and how to attend it?

Abraços (hugs) [/QUOTE]I just returned from a leisure trip to Sao Paulo. The Renaissance Jardins that was $120 per night 6 years ago is now $480 per night. And even at those rates you need to book well in advance to ensure you can get a reservation. It is by far the most expensive in the Americas.

Fair quality of foods, a bit of nouvelle cuisine, but not real gourmet. YMMV

What is the current rates for longtime, overnight prices in SP.

Which is the agency for getting good ones, also reliable? Any independent garoras numbers please. PM.

Let me add that I wanted to spend a few days with GF in Camburi (Litoral Norte beach) but couldn't find any modest pousada for less than 200€/day (off season). Honestly, I don't know why anyone would want to go to Brasil now. It has priced itself out of the market.

It's going to be a privete party in the house of Fefão, in Interlagos, Fefão still runs Espaço Morumbí and is a silent parner at Nova Cecí.

This house where Fefão lives is like a private club for the participating members of the FSD.

The party will be R$ 80, 00 each gentlemen, you can bring any number of hookers (who have granted free entrance, as well as food an beverages ) ther will be dinner, drinks, the pool, the rooms for fucking the girls.

Hooker´s fees not included, you should negociate directly with them. Best bring your own lady.

Party starts at noon and goes untill 08:00PM.

But entrance is resticted to acting members of the forum.

I´m probably going to be there.

I agree that I might have find in Camburi something a bit cheaper, but honestly a pousada being, even with discounted prices, more or less at the same rate than the Oriental Bangkok (one of the best hotel of the world) is simply silly for me.

Same story in Thailand where anything is 10/20% (depends on the comparison period) than few years ago, same in Australia, where due to the exchange rate seems prices went up by over 30%

I have observed, anyone can correct me if I am wrong, that prices did not go dramatically up in Brazil, but they are draingin more of our money from our pockets.

Nevertheless, to stay within ISG topics, I have observed that the prices of the GdP have gone up by approx 50BR$, regardless of their differnt price levels (the go from 150 to 300, depending onthe girl, on the fact of being known to the girl etc)

The foreign factor, in here, is irrelevant as the vast majority of hteir customers are brazilian, there is no "farang" or "gajin" price, unless you go at Cafè Photo or Bamboa.

A friend of mine (european) who did not want to listen to recommendation to pick up a normal (or a dupla) GdP, endeed up at CP, picked up 2 girls and ended up with a total expenditure of nearly 1200BR (one has toaccount the entry, drinks) but he was happy.

Ten years ago, Centaurus used to charge 240 Reais per session. Today, it charges almost 500 Reais. Prices doubled in Reais and trippled in US dollars.

Ten years ago, products made in Brazil were much cheaper than imported. Today, there is no much difference. For example, a brazilian 'after shave' product used to cost 3 Reias, whereas today it costs 18 reais (compared to 22 Reais for imported)

I am sorry to disagree, prices in Reais went up in recent years, irrespective of fluctuation of exchange rates.
Hotels I used to sleep in 3 or 4 years ago for R 175-185 are now R 225-245, for example.
Same applies to restaurants, taxis, etc. particularly in Sao Paulo.
