I hear its getting pretty bad over there, how close is it to the zona?
This weekend will be my first time goin to tj, n im still thinking whether or not this is a good idea. I hear all over the news about people gettin shot in tj during shootouts and whatnot. I also hear about many kidnappings. Basically all i want to know is if the zona is safe during friday around 2 in the afternoon.
P.S. what is the age restrictions for these clubs?
18 years of age.

You can look up the location yourself on google maps. I'd say it's about 5 miles from the border crossing and about the same from the zona roja. BTW ,there is no zona rosa in Tijuas.

TJ is no more dangerous or safe than any other city with a large poor population. If you get loud and obnoxious when you drink, stay stateside- where even the drunk and stupid have basic rights. If you act like a loud, obnoxious idiot, you will be treated as such, only in TJ, the fines for stupidity are generally steeper than in most parts of America. If you cut up and act like a brazen fool or turista, over a long enough time, you are bound to come into trouble in TJ.
I stay out of the way of the local men there, and I try to steer clear of the policia. In three years of mongering in TJ, I have been shook down by the policia only once, and they found nothing, and sent me on my way.
Its amazing what you can accomplish(or even get away with) when you treat people with basic human respect.
Senor Frogs is the biggest club in Rosarito? Sounds like you really know the area well.
Sorry, meant to say Papas and Beer.
I travel too much to get all these places straight.

Tourists are very safe.
Crime is crime. I was watching the news last night late and it was shocking to see the horrible crimes in the USA. My girlie made the comment that it is so much safer in Mexico, you just have the druggies against the druggies. You don't hear about some guy shooting up his kids and his family etc.
Everyone should watch Scar Face with Al Pachino again. These guys are fucking nuts and the amount of money involved is, to some, worth dying for.
If you are not involved in the drug trade, if you do not hang with the narcotraficantes, then your in good shape. If you do these things, then the news is proof that the trade has a high mortality rate, so govern yourself accordingly.
I was int he Zona last Friday night with my girlie for drinks at CC, where we decided to stay until about 11:30. When I exited the club and took a stroll for some bacon-wrapped hot dogs, I felt like I was the only gringo in the zona. Even some of the better taco carts have moved on. I was shocked. The only vendor on the corner of Consitution and Cohilla was the old guy wearing the captains hat.
I not going to say that there will never be an incident int he Zona, but I can't remember there ever being one act of random violence in the zona against a gringo monger.
The Mexican press sensationalizes these stories and prints the headlines in arge red letters so they can be easily read from the street. This is to sell newspapers. To make money. To sell advertising. It doesn't mean that the violence does not happen, it does mean that just another incident of some narcotraficante getting offed by some other narcotraficante. A regular event.

Well todays the day I'm goin to tj with my friend, I want to thank everyone who helped give me some tips. I've been reading this forum for a good while now, and now I finaly get to experience what everyone hear is talking about. I will be sure to lets you guys know how everything went as soon as I get back.
I was in TJ Friday night for my annual trip (only one night instead of the usual 4 due to a ID problem). Here are some of my observations:
Very nice, new turnstiles have been installed at the border. Nice and shiney, appear to be lighter and easier to turn, but still as noisy.
They have, once again, moved the taxi libre stop. It is now much closer to the border exits. It was so long Friday @ 8, that I took a yellow cab to Adelitas for six bucks (worth the time not standing in line).
I saw very few cops the entire night. None lurking in the dark at the drop off spot returning to the border. VERY GOOD!
Adelitas was busy, as the night went on, but not crowded. Plenty of lovely ladies, all different shapes and sizes. If you are allergic to silicone, STAY AWAY!
Chicago never got busy. They have many less girls, most of them are nothing special. Most do NOTHING to show off there wares, or to market themselves. They just sit and talk to each other, never trying to connect. Often times it is hard to get a good look at their bodies the way they are located. One young, petite chica was sitting in a booth with her legs on the opposite side. I sat down next to her, and said, hola. She replied and said she does not speak English. I still tried to communicate with her, but she made NO effort. I got up and left. She continued to sit in the same position, letting other chicas sit in front of her, blocking everyones view of her.
I ended up going upstairs with a girl from Adelitas, followed by a girl from Chicago. I had a much better experience with the girl from Chicago. Not sure if it was because the girl from Adelitas was loose, used too much lube, had poor technique (not effort) or what. This may sound like a stupid question (or one that even Country John cannot answer) but does anybody know what brand condom do they use at Adelitas and Chicago? I am wondering if my poor performance at Adelitas was the girls cave-like, over oiled pussy, or possibly the thick covering that was on my manhood. Anybody know?

First time I ever got called out over a condom!!!
Good TR Ath Trainer. Sounds like you made the best of it despite the dull action. The Zona is hurting, that's for sure.
The condoms used by the girls are thicker than ones you buy stateside. Sometimes a girl might double condom you which is really very bad. This cold explain your lack of sensation.
Bring your own condom. Hand it to the girl so she can open it. She should have no objection. Make sure you tell her before you go arriba, you don't want an arguement in the room, especially after paying for it and maybe the session.

They rotate brands depending on what's on sale at the 99cent store. lol
They are all thick like made from inner tube rubber. Bring your own thin ones. Never use the house brand as they are usually thick. Not important what the name is. Beyond Seven is a good brand.
They were handing out condoms called 'Salud' at HK the other day. They came is strips of four. I haven't tried them, but a friend told me that they were actually pretty good.
I always take my own condoms but used them only once. All the chicas preffer the in-house brand. One told me she didn't like the taste of the condoms lubrication. Guess the in-house one's come with flavoring or just don't have any taste. All my sessions have always started with a BJ but they always wipe off the lube before starting.
