My new girlfriend just got robbed in Cali also.
A few punks roughed up and robbed her and her sister walking back from a store near their casa.

A shame really, but it amazes me how fast these chicas bounce back.
I can imagine any gringa friend of mine would be traumatized for months over an incident like that.

And dont forget my Novia getting jumped for her cell phone in a very nice area in CALI "El Penon" When she was younger, she got robbed my 2 dudes with a Machete, TODAY if she has to go out she goes with my cunado or family member and will leave her wallet and Cell Phone at home OR transfer her SIM to the cheap NOKIA. DO NOT KEEP YOU GUARD DOWN IN CALI! EVER!

Novia Held Up In Cali For Cell Phone!
Hello all, After going to Cali every six weeks for the past year and a half a bit of violence finally hit home,, after a nice fun filled day with the NOVIA in el centro, on the way home in the taxi we stopped at my apartamento and she gets out to open the door and puts the key in the door to open it, i tell the cab driver to drive on, because i was on my way for a 7pm massage apointment, I get a call two minutes later from her brother panicking on is cell phone that my baby was held-up two minutes ago in front of the apratment by 3 men and one woman on dirt bikes, who strongheld her and physically removed her cell phone, told her to be quiet OR ELSE and then sped-off and left her physically and emotionally in distress, I get home to find her crumbled-up on the kitchen floor in shock and unstopable crying, i try to console her to no avail, telling her that thank-god she is alive and not hurt or dead and that the superficial products can be easily replaced, and thank-god that that they didnt go into the apartment and rob the place WITH ALL MY STUFF including laptop and ipod, etc etc, why didnt they go in? because this was a random act and they didnt know whom or what was waiting for them inside, my CUNADO told me that this was a random normal day in CALI and just another statistic, which i sorrily agree to, but this really hit close to home and opened my eyes even more, to see this once proud, beautiful, strong CALENA, reduced to a mere statistic!

Cali was fun.
Lots of day time casas. For Cubanut, Bru, the 'madame' at one of the daytime casas kept asking about you. Question for Cubanut: What did you do to make the madame like you so much ?

To me, the quality was much better than the at night for the price. Night time could be expensive so I did prepagos.

Girls are pretty friendly. English still turns heads.

damn cubnut, you make it awfully hard to contradict yourself! haha.

when i say "who needs pros?" it's a figure of speech. hell, we all need pros sometimes. i was just noting how easy it is to pick up girls in cali.

and you're right, i need to sit down and write a report. heck i was in buca, armenia, pereira, cali, medellin, and bogota the last two weeks! i have just been so busy with my move to medellin. nothing is easy in colombia in regards to changing apartments, moving, etc.

i have been answering a lot of emails if that counts for anything!

So post it. What's the point of writing that if you aren't posting it?

The ONLY thing that is easy in Colombia is getting laid. Everything else is very difficult. It took 4 months to get gas service to my apartment in Medellin. Then there are the banks, DAS, DIAN, MRE, Aduana,...

Night time fun was hard after looking all day as things are a little spread out in Cali. I called a girl who's number that my friend gave me.

In Cali there will be an Election and they close the bars and prevent the sale of liquor for Friday, Saturday and Sunday - July 6 - 8. I have confirmed this with several people including an owner of a bar, and managers of 2 hotels in Cali. I have since changed my itinerrary but wanted to give a heads!
