" But he's like, come on and he starts to go up himself. He goes up there and he's staggering around in a drunken stupor for bit. Meanwhile, I head downstairs to the base of the stairwell.
A few minutes later, the guy makes his way down the stairs and he sees me again. He grabs me by the arm again and says something in Spanish which I didn't quite catch. At this point, I'm starting to get a little pissed off, and I'm like "why the fuck are you grabbing me?" he looks at me and says, "Quieres pelear? Quieres pelear?" I'm like, "no thanks. " And then we have a 10 second stair down, but eventually he wanders off somewhere. I didn't really see the guy the rest of the night.
This got me thinking about the moron factor at HK. This isn't the first time I've had to deal with some idiot, or some dude coming up to you asking you weird questions where you have no idea what the fuck they are talking about. There's a good percentage of dudes in there that are straight up morons. Yeah, there are some drunk guys that can't handle their liquor, but there are still a lot of low brow dudes in there. I'm thinking there is no way they have the cash to buy these girls on a regular basis. They must be saving up their pennies for a once a year visit, or maybe they just like to look at the girls and have their cerveza.
Anyway, the moral of the story is: don't be a moron. When you sit with a girl and have a drink with her, and she finds out you're not a moron, you can sense the feeling of relief in the girl, considering what they have to deal with on a nightly basis.
I wouldn't say most guys in HK are morons because that implies they're stupid. I think most guys there are actually street smart. However, I will say that just from my years of people watching there, seeing how the guys dress, how they treat the women, etc, I will say that most guys there are perverts, creepers, assholes, or low lifes. The Low lifes are the folks who don't have the money to spend on the girls; these are the teenage thugs from socal / Tijuana that wear cheap high school gangster clothing who are there just to grope the girls rudely or bang them like animals upstairs if they happen to have enough money. The creepers are the ones who don't know how to carry on a conversation, look ugly as fuck, would never have a girl like an HK looking one in real life, and keep walking circles around the club over and over again but never tipping, buying drinks, or talking to women because they are actually preying for their catch like a silent creeper / stalker. The assholes are the overconfident dudes that are rude, noisy, bump into you without saying sorry, or grope your girl even if you're sitting with the girl with a drink. In terms of being assholes and treating the women unprofessionally, I would say a lot of it depends on which category the guy is in that I described above, and also depends on ethnicity, unfortunately. Based purely on observation, I've noticed that in order from most professional (polite, respectful to women) to least professional (probably slamming women upstairs like animals) I've noticed Asians (most professional) - Caucasians - Hispanics - blacks / Indians / middle eastern (least professional).
That is what I've noticed in HK in my many years there.

There really are morons and then there are obnoxious morons. I did encounter a drunken Mexican, probably lives in the US but wants to show this was his country and it is not that of yours. There is definitely a lot of losers at that club. Usually it's the haters who are too broke to take a girl upstairs and they want to take it out on somebody. After I grab a cold Coca Cola from the store next to the taco stand to wash the food down. Let me tell you, It really doesn't get any better than that. It really hits the spot. When I'm done I go back to my room at Cascadas, take a hot shower, go to bed with a full stomach and play back the memories of the hot ass chick I just banged feeling totally satisfied and knock the fuck out. Avoid violence at all costs. Anywhere anytime, but especially in a foreign country. Even if you win, you lose. You're better off swallowing your pride and backing away and leaving. You lose a point for doing a stare down with the guy but otherwise your cool head prevailed. There are so many things that can go wrong. Messing with a narco. Ending up in a third world jail. Ending up in a third world hospital. Getting jumped by his friends in an alley later. It's just not worth it. Just find it in yourself to pity that moron and walk away.
