Good luck and sorry I couldn't have a more precise answer for you.[/QUOTE]As I previously posted, if you have an FMM form issued in Mexico using your Passport card, then for flying domestically I don't see how they can deny you to fly domestically as Immigration has accepted the "card" as ID and if someone with an airline challenged you, all you would have to do is show them your FMM.

And you do have a good question as to why I'm hesitant to bring my Passport (Book) into Mexico, and the answer is if I don't need to, I don't want to, because I literally guard my Passport with my life.

So the obvious reason is a Passport is a pain in the ass if lost, especially in a foreign Country, but in my case, I have multiple entry visas for two Countries good for five and ten years each which took months to get, and are pasted into my Passport which I would have a difficult time replacing if I lost my Passport, hence my hesitancy.

What if you get on the flight from Tijuana to bumfuck using your card. But then bumfuck to Tijuana they tell you that you must show a passport or you are not going anywhere? If I don't remember anything from the Boy Scouts 40 years ago, I remember the motto is Be Prepared. No sense in not being prepared on purpose.

I will try to use just the card, but have my book with me also just in case. I will let you know how it goes.

Planning on making a trip into Tijuana and was wondering what the pedestrian crossing time back into San Diego, say after 10 pm, has been this past week or so. I know it's usually no wait at that time, mid-week, I'm just wondering what it's been like with all the shit going on recently. 5 hour crossing mid morning on a Friday, for example.

For whatever fuckhead reason, the Sentri lanes only has 4 lanes open again on this Friday night. The wait was not as bad this time. But last Friday Sentri only used 3 gates and the line went all the way to the roundabout and took 1.5 hours. I literally put my car in park several times.

Hello everyone!

After getting tired of waiting in line almost an hour at midnight on a Saturday night to cross the general pedestrian line in late March I decided to apply for global entry. I had heard many stories of people waiting months if not years for a simple conditional approval of their application so naturally I was worried. Others have stories of waiting to find an interview due to not finding any available times for a year at a time.

So I decided to just go for it and applied on Friday April 23 at 8 pm. By Saturday night the next day on April 24 I got an email that my application was conditionally approved and I could schedule my interview. I looked out of curiosity and can confirm that NOTHING was available anywhere in California! I checked other states out of desperation but could not fathom doing so much for an interview. I decided to call it a day and went to sleep.

The next night on Sunday April 25 I checked again and once again spent about an hour clicking different locations and different states and had no luck finding any apportionments at all. Finally after about an hour of checking I was able to find an appointment for Monday April 26 the next day! I couldn't believe my luck and quickly booked the appointment. Don't forget I only started the application a few days before so I couldn't believe what was happening.

The next day at 5 pm I had my appointment for global entry at the lax Culver City location. I got there about 20 minutes earlier than my appointment and was called within 5 minutes to interview with the officer. The process took less than 10 minutes. A simple fingerprint / palm scan and a few basic personal questions about my occupation and travel history and I was done. The officer informed that my application would be approved or denied within a few days or weeks due to covid.

I went home and opened my laptop at around 7 pm and there was my email that my application was fully approved and to expect my card in the mail. Today is Monday May 3 and the card already arrived to my residence!

I don't know if this is a record but I literally applied for the initial process and had my card within 10 days! I am writing to encourage those who have been hesitant to go for it! I do have a clean record so that may have accelerated the process but I'm still surprised it only took me 10 days for the whole process to be completed! I have been crossing for over 5 years now and the wait times for the general lines were never more then 40 minutes or less.

This one incident of waiting over an hour in late March after midnight convinced me to apply and see what happens. I am very happy it all worked out. I hope many of you that were thinking of applying also will go for it and see what happens! Don't forget to keep checking the appointments website because cancellations do happen and that is how I was able to find an appointment so quickly!

I even texted the Captain multiple times and he couldn’t believe how fast my process went!!!
