While there's a lot of valuable information here, there's also a lot of shitty people on these boards LOL. That reality is sad for many of them. Bottom line is that job options for them are available, but the pay is never enough to support themselves or their families. I have seen this time and time again with these women. Many have left the bars due to the stigma of it and their families finding out where they work to go work in hair salons, clothing stores, in factories and even as nurses. Most of them have kids and an ex-husband who cheated on them and left them hight and dry. Or, many have lazy ass boyfriends who don't contribute a dime. The money that they made in these jobs was neverenough to pay rent, buy food and other items needed to support their families. As a result, generally within up to 6 months they are right back at their only option for being able to support their families. Back in the bars. Their measly 60-100 dollar a week jobs did not cut it. And neither did the ridiculous hours they were expected to work to make this paltry salary.

In talking with many of these girls, I find that many have dreams of bettering themselves, either through going back to school or doing something like owning their own hair salon. But in most cases, this hope that they have is often diminished by several factors, including lack of capital, etc.
