I don't know if this is the right place or not to write about this. I was reading a news report lately, there is this phenomenon about gringos / local men going to Universities even a high school in Medellin and handing out flyers to girls who looks good offering money for sex or friendship for fresh of plane the gringos in Medellin, the girls are mad and it looks its getting out of hand.

Different strokes for different folks, when I get to a bucket list location (especially way off the beaten track) I stay as long as I can as mostly likely I will never be there again. I've take my pictures, but want to soak it in for as long as possible. I've been dragged by the security guards off the Great Wall, Meiji Shrine, the Louvre. The Tower of London, the Colosseum, the Acropolis and The Forbidden City. In the case of the Forbidden City I was one of the last out the door. After jostling the crowds for the day I had the place to myself in the setting sun and it was an incredible experience. Of course I was just a short subway ride back to my hotel so didn't have to worry about transport back.

Okay guys, I've put up my share of trip reports and details on a couple different Colombia threads. I've shared my recent experiences, hopefully so others can benefit. That said, I think I am within my rights to call BULLSHIT on some things going on here.
First off, the amount of pointless banter here is getting to be a joke. Someone opined on one of the other threads that the Medellin Reports was useless as a result of it. He might have had a point. Go to the Cartegena thread and you will see a lot more current trip reports and more details. Right now, this thread is awash with all kinds of rumors about bad stuff, that cannot be verified. Hey, a forum cannot be a rumor mill and still be a good place for solid information! And all these guys posting about how great MDE is. Well, if it is so great, why can't you post a detailed report about your experiences? We need names, places, prices, times, and practical info. If it can happen on the Cartegena thread, why can't it happen here?
Another thing that is out of hand, and not necessarily on this thread, is posters jumping up on newcummers with this "RTFF" bullshit. Its gotten to the point where I think "RTFF" means "I Don't Know The Answer To Your Fucking Question, So Why Don't You Read The Fucking Forum And Maybe You Will Find An Actual Monger Who Does. " Really, what good is a forum if you can't ask a question without someone jumping out like some troll hiding under the bridge, and telling them to "RTFF". Look, if you can get all your answers by reading all the old posts on this forum, then there is no point in anyone posting anything again, right?
A more resourceful, and friendlier, approach is to direct the newcomer how to use the search feature and possibly what keyword to look for or whose posts to look for. I've seen this done on other threads, so it can be done here. Example: Want to find excellent details about a specific town in the Dominican Republic? Just type in the word "Camaro" and the name of the city in the search field. Voila! Its that's simple. In short, HELP A BROTHER OUT. If you are such an experienced monger, that you have chocked up up several hundreds, even thousands of posts, then you should be able to offer a detailed and expert opinion. Directing someone to "RTFF" does not qualify as expertise or experience. It only calls your usefulness into question.
And as for the usefulness of dated information. Let's get real. Two year old info is stale, like you would expect in an area such as this particular vice. Brothels open, close, change names, move, etc. Girls come and go, prices go up, and service levels fluctuate. After all, when has anything about mongering ever been written in stone? You know. Member #4394 has done a good job of putting together a monger map, but he has to keep updating it. No, it doesn't update itself. Somebody has to go to all those places and verify they are still there, what is notably different and how much the prices have gone up. That somebody is you!
You know, I read a study about the evolution of internet forums, and they go through a predictable sequence of stages in regards to their participation. Towards their decline, it gets to the point where the older members gets impatient with new members and their newbie questions. That is not where you want a forum to go, because that is towards the end. Again, help a brother out!
BTW, anybody who has any questions regarding my experiences, can feel free to PM me. I might not have the answers, but I won't bite your head off for asking (unless you are just being stupid).

One guy was suspected of dying from a heart attack in the street but turns out he had an allergic reaction to some sea food.
The other guy was just found dead in his hotel room with a bottle of liqour and some pills so they suspect an overdose.

Ladyexpresszo is having some emotional and mental problems so please give her a break when you see her. I am asking all of you who come in contact with her to be compassionate as I would hate for something bad to happen to her, or see her locked up in a mental facility even though it is very evident she needs serious help.

Many of the people who say "RTFF" have seen a question asked, usually by someone with 5 or less posts, which was just answered a few days before. Then there are the first post, "I have mongered everywhere and I'm planning on coming to _ to do _something no experienced monger would ever do). Can someone give me the name and phone number of _girl, hotel, restaurant, sheep rental, whatever)?
After seeing the same "just give me the answers" posts week after week, people get tired of repeating the same answers.
There's a real benefit to reading those old posts, even if the information is outdated. You get to know the players. You mentioned Camaro in the DR. How did you learn about his excellent reports? You RTFF. You learn who has the best information. You also, and this is critical for first-time visitors, learn the ropes, learn how to walk the walk and talk the talk. You never know what you will learn, until you RTFF.
As for the pointless banter, it keeps the forum alive. There are threads that go weeks and even months with no reports. If I'm looking for info and I see the last post was in September, I'm not even going to bother. I'll go looking for another source. That pointless banter tells me I've found an active community, where I can get some answers.
Trip reports will come and go, but if that's all that's on the board, it's going to get old pretty fast.

The report on the guy with the heart attack also says that they found liquor in his room and he was accompanied by two women.
It seems like the two guys were partying too hard and they were no dudes, one in his forties and another in the 50's. To help prevent this type of thing is why I started drinking water instead of hard liquor, no drugs and just one puta at a time.

If it was correct, an out of shape older guy with two girls out at that time of night tells me it wasn't seafood that killed him, his body couldn't take the party any longer. Who comes to Medellin for seafood anyway, and one would think if he was allergic to seafood he would know ahead of time.
I also saw on another site the authorities are aware of and vowing to go after lodgings set up for sex tourism. I assume this means places like Jake's, especially since they like to unjustifiably blame gringos for everything. All said, it was a crazy weekend for gringos with four found dead over the couple days!
Thanks for posting the links. That does not appear to be a phenomenon. That seems to be an idiot Gringo who thought he had a great idea of going to universities to recruit some girls and he only going to get his ass kicked by Colombians and give us all a bad reputation. Discretion about what we do or want to do and respect for their women (putas an nonputas) and culture is essential to survive in Colombia and other counties alike. If someone does not believe me, just ask CubaDave who continues to detained in Costa Rica accused of promoting sex tourism. I assumed that if he was stupid enough to make the flyer, he was probably stupid enough to put his real name and phone contact on the flyer so they will find him easy. That stupid gringo better start running now cause if they find him, he will be arrested and be put in the front page of those newspapers to make an example of him and he will get the blame for turning Medellin into the big beautiful brothel it is.
