I have been using detectinvisible.com and ydetect.org for awhile now and they are very valuable tools. You just have to be careful of false results sometimes, so if you are not sure just run the same ID a few times to see if the status stays the same and soon enough you will know if your girl really is running off to bed like she told you.

Also FYI many girls in the PI know about these yahoo status websites, so if you can use it, so can she. Also don't assume she is the one who is online all hours of the day and night, it's not unusual for a few family members to use the same yahoo ID.

Just a little story about how easy it is to get a lunch date in the Phil. Last month I was in Cagayan de Oro sitting at the hotel doing an e-mail with DIA open on the side. Got a mssg from a 28 yr old who as luck would have it was also in CDO. We chatted a bit,.her pic was nice, so a lunch date was offered and accepted at Lighthouse restraunt at Gaisano Mall. We exchanged cell numbers and the time to meet. I dont usually get to a lunch date on time cause the girls are always late anyway. This girl suprised me when the appointed time arrived I got a text saying she is there waiting.. Score some points for her in my book and I quickened my pace. Got to the restraunt and i just see one girl standing by the door and she looks different than the pic in DIA. Not that she was not pretty cause she was, just not the pic i remembered in DIA. Well i walked up to her and said " hi Are you ready for lunch? She smiled and said I sure am but can you wait a few min because my sister is dropping off her cell phone for repair but she will be right here in a few min..GRRR i was pissed and i told her " Your sister is joining us for lunch "? She said yes and I decided I did not want this to go any further,,she looks different than her pic and she never even asked if she could bring her sister. i said..I am not hungry anymore so I will say bye bye and I walked .. In about 5 min I get a text.." where are u I am waiting "... I said I told you i was leaving,I dont like that you brought your sister without asking me first..She text..I dont have a sister we have not met yet, I am waiting for you at a table here inside. HMMMM whats going on here?? Is it possible I met the wrong girl?? What the hell i had nothing else going on so i text back "ok I am coming back " Well I walked INSIDE this time and i spotted her sitting at a table in the corner..all ALONE with a sweet smile on her face. We had lunch and a good laugh about what happened and then we went to a movie at the mall but of course 10 min after we sat down we were exploring each others tongues. I asked her if she wanted to leave as the movie was boring and told her we could watch TV back at the hotel. She agreed so away we go to Natures Pension ( the new one ). We did make a half hearted attempt to watch TV but other things seemed more fun. Anyway just a story to relate and makes me wonder if you could not go up to just about any girl in the mall and invite them to lunch and get at least a 50% sucess rate.

It's a good story with a happy ending, but it's also a little bit fked up.

Can you imagine how the first girl felt? A bold and brash man makes his moves, she accepts, then he acts like a prat when she suggests he wait for a few moments. Sad.

Most girls bring a friend or "cousin" on these kind of adventures. Politely bail out if you feel uncomfortable, but spending an hour and a few hundred yen in the food court with two women seems like a very simple thing to do.

I thought I WAS politely bailing out..I said " i am sorry but i dont feel hungry now.. have a nice afternoon" I was not rude or unkind to her.. I suppose everyone is different but my policy is i dont accept that a girl brings a friend unless she asks first..If she asks first then its ok,, But to me when they bring the ontorage of couisins or sisters then they are just looking for a freebe meal and not interested in being with me at all.. MANY experiences in 13 trips has born that out.

You have a right to your opinion, but you should recognize a few things:

1/ you approached the wrong gal. She didn't know you. So, there was no way for her to "ask first". You may have been polite, but she must have thought your behavior was bizarre.

Just curious, when gals ask to bring a friend, do you say no?

2/ Even if it WAS the gal you expected to meet, she didn't bring an "entourage". She was with her sis (according to your earlier message).

3/ "Freebie" meal at mall food court might set you back a few hundred pesos. So what? You have to eat anyway.

There have been a lot of different opinions about meeting friends and / or family in these situations. Like Nightrider, I prefer when they come alone, but I've also had some good experiences when being flexible.

Oh I had a shopgirl I asked to lunch show up with her dad, her kid (which I was uninformed of), and her cutie 18yo sister. I went along with it and eventually re-targeted on the 18yo. Got a date with her later. Didn't work out though.

What was screwed up. I went to their house. Kid's daddy is American, disabled, and gone, trying to divorce the lady. I picked the little girl up for a minute. Girl called me daddy...What a waste.

Actually, once I move to the PI, I am going to re-consider my normal aversion to girls with kids. Not that I want one at home, but many of the young moms are pretty nice looking, and perhaps have a more settled attitude.

Just today, a hot looking girl that I had exchanged ONE email with on Cherry Blossoms, IMd me and demanded that I delete her from my list, or give her my password. Because she "found out" I was chatting with other girls and she hated guys who "play games". I do stay logged into yahoo messenger 24/7 and have noted some girls think I am online and ignoring them. I try now to change my status and tell them why it says online all the time. OTOH, not a bad little detector of the attitude ho's.

I tell them we are adults and add that no where else in the world does anyone go on a date with a girl+ her friend. Usually they say " Really"? And then agree to come alone.
