Last friday I read an article published in the "MF Dnes" newspapper mentionning a police raid that took place on the night from thursday to friday in Atlas cabaret in Prague, checking the "exotic" prostitutes working in the club.

The "Cernossky" (black girls) were clearly targeted by the police action. The foreign police found several girls from Nigeria in the club. Some of them locked themself in the cloakroom or tried to hide between the trash bins... But the police had the surprise to discover that all girls had legal permit to stay in CZ as each girl was married to a czech man...

The police forced the girls to leave the club but was not able to expel any of them. Soon as the girls were in the street they started to hunt customers on Wenceslas square :)

The Czech Autorities are concerned about AIDS and other STD' s spread. Last two years the number of girls from exotic countries such as Brazil or Nigeria who are coming to CZ to work in night clubs is increasing and several girls were tested HIV positive...

The growing number of prostitutes in Prague who come from "exotic countries" such as Nigeria, Brazil, Kyrgystan and Mongolia has Czech doctors concerned about the spread of AIDS in the country, Mladá fronta Dnes wrote on Friday.

"I have patients from Africa and I think that some of them made a living from prostitution -- both men and women. African prostitutes could present a risk in the Czech Republic if customers do not use condoms," said Dr. Ladislav Machala, who treats AIDS patients at Prague's Bulovka hospital.

According to Hana Malinová, the director of the non-governmental organization Rozkoš bez rizika (Pleasure Without Risk), which helps prostitutes, the number of prostitutes from Africa has grown in the Czech Republic, as well as in the rest of Europe. East European prostitutes no longer consider Prague to be a lucrative destination.

She said that many of the prostitutes from more exotic countries have no idea about safe sex. Last year, her organization discovered several Mongolian women in a Prague club who did not know anything about sexually-transmitted disease and did not even know how to use a condom, she said.

Most often, however, she said it is the customers and not the prostitutes, who are lax when it comes to condoms. "Ninety-five percent of prostitutes have had customers who demanded unprotected sex," she said.

At present, the law does not demand that prostitutes monitor their health. However, Prague Town Hall has presented a draft law which legalizes prostitution and forces prostitutes to pay taxes and get medical checkups every month to the City Council.

I asked my brother who is a MD, not a specialist for such things, but anyway and here is what he said : Its not impossible but not so easy too to acquire herpes or/and warts just by sexual contact. Herpes is a virus and almost everybody cares it in his body.Its getting virulent when you are sick, very tired, stressed, but it will disappear with adaequate medical treatment. And warts normally need some time to grow. Of course : Be careful. I read this report about girls from Africa. But herpes and warts are quite harmless.

I posted a report but I thought it would be better to delete it as it might mislead other readers I guess you must have caught it though. I have just been going to Prague for quite a long time and Seen it a lot better than this trip.

I am sure there will be people out there who disagree with me, I think Prague is worth a try at least once, but I think most people will agree the mongering scene has seen better days.

Before starting any panic, that Prague is full off pros with genetical diseases I think we should calm down ourselves a little bit. Warts I had myself some 2 years ago and Severin Carl is right, they need some time to develop, are rather harmless and yes, a condom is not 100% protection against them. Oh, com'on - don't panic. The probability of getting HIV from uncovered sex is about 1:1000, covered about 1:10000. Even living with an infected partner for a whole year means only about 6% probability of infection ... Sure, these are just estimates and the actual probabilities depend on the kind of sexual activity (oral / anal sex etc.), but are quite accurate.

The truth is that there are about 1120 known HIV infected persons in Czech Republic, the estimate of total HIV infected persons is about 10x the number of known ones, i.e. about 11200. And only about 25% of them are women.

Regarding the girls and regular testing - I know several girls who are tested regularly, but that was their own decision and they generally work in 'small' privates (their own ones). I highly doubt the 'large' privates have such policy, and the same holds for clubs. The problem is the girls do change a lot (going to work in a different club, leaving this profession for a while etc.) so I don't believe they're tested regularly. IMHO the real danger are girls from foreign countries (Ukraine, countries of Africa) with higher number of HIV infected persons.

So be careful but not paranoid - if you can't accept this danger, don't fuck.

It's always a lottery when you book a girl for long term escort if you don't know her at all! Before booking a girl for an evening or a night I always try to meet her a few times for regular 1 hour service (and drinks) to find out if there is some sympathy & chemistry between us that may lead to GFE.
