Help needed.
Can someone provide me with details where Toul Kok is located?
It's been years since I was there, so no idea what state it's in now. I didn't take part there. But if you head up to the French embassy, which is on the northeast corner of that same lake, take the road left there (west) and keep heading out, you'll run into that area and it will all be very obvious. Unless things have changed dramatically since I was there, at least. There's one alley street on the north side of that street where there's lots of buildings that serve as brothels. When I was there, it was mostly shacks all on the main road. None of it looked very enticing, I must warn you.
The road I talk about, after the French embassy, is the one main road running straight along the north side of the lake. Sorry I forget the name of the road.

Tuol Kork is a rather large neighborhood directly west of Boeung Kak.
Tuol Kork is a rather large neighborhood directly west of Boeung Kak.
West? Maybe the maps they give out in PP aren't correctly oriented toward North -- but if you look at the map (Canby) and find the lake, it's up on top of the lake. I don't know for sure that's north. The area with the girls is on that road that runs along the top of the lake, as seen on the map.
Ok. looking at map now. Street 70. There's no way the area we're talking about with the girls is WEST of the lake.
Tuol Kork is a rather large neighborhood directly west of Boeung Kak.
Toul kork is just a place where you get a BJ. $5 when i went, i dont know how much it is now.
West? Maybe the maps they give out in PP aren't correctly oriented toward North --
Correct. The handout maps place the River in what looks like East to West at the bottom. In fact the river runs North South. Following this through, Roguesta's ascertion that Street 70 is west of the lake is correct. That said who actually has a map of Phnom Penh which doesn't make it look as if it's "west".

I live in Phnom Penh. I'm not sure where the girls are in Tuol Kork, I only know where the neighborhood is, which is from streets 273 and 592. This covers the entire western side of Boeung Kak. Like I said, I'm not sure where the girls are, and they may very well be located north of the lake.

Get yourself dropped off at the French embassy. Walk around the corner onto Street 70 and keep walking straight along there for a couple hundred meters or so -- if they are still there, they'll be really obvious as you pass them. The wide alley street I refer to will be on your right side. It goes downhill a bit from the main road, which is built higher than everything around it.
If you look at this Canby Publications map, I think it's the most common one, basically same as any tourist map I've seen there, you can see street 70 there running along the top side of the lake.

It's a LONG time since I was there. Not sure what state it's in at this point. And actually it may be further along St 70 where it changes to St 273. But following my directions, if it's still there, you should find it. Brace yourself. This place was ROUGH.

The map you're talking about is a different map than what I was referring to -- I saw one like that, which was called a "3-d map". The orientation for that one is very different. I suppose on THAT map St 70 would appear to be located EAST of the lake. ;)
This must be really confusing for someone reading here who isn't familiar with the layout of PP.

i dont mean to be mean but you must be blind, or not very experienced at picking out local brothels.
there are quite a few along the riverside road in the tk district you then turn left just under the japanese bridge go through the roundabout and once past rcaf stadium there are a few more rep001tered along the road. just near the railway lines there are a few obvious ones.
ok you ask what should i be looking for? look into houses or shop fronts if you see two or three gils sitting on plastic chairs just inside the doorway that is a good sign.

Fully correct

i just want to warned people who are in need of exotism and want to ventured in tuol kok, tuol kok is a long time brothels also called"rue des petites fleurs" and was mainly for local, barang prefered svay pak, that offered more confort and large amount of viet girls, tuol kok was always cheaper than svay pak (until 2006, it was easy for a barang to bonk for as low as 2 dollars with a cute khmer)
1) girls quality is very low, gems are extremely rare now.
2)it s wodden shack brothels, no hygien at all, bathroom are primitive (bowl of water), also non air con. so don t expect a farangland like beach road or thai style.
3)try to avoid tuol kok at night if you re beginner, keep it mind that brothels tend to closed around 11pm (khmer guys bonked sooner than us)it s less dangerous than before but things can turned bad very quickly.
4)avoid motodop, excepted if you want to paid 10/20 dollars your st
5) be really carefull with the car traffic, it's like an highway there.
otherwise: boom boom, massage 5 dollars, tuol kok is mostly khmer, few viet available (but available mainly near the right curve), so don't go there if you like only viet, you will be disapointed.
Help needed.
I could almost sense places were near but either they were closed during the day (about 2-3pm) or I was dumped at the wrong st. Walked around for a little while after the moto left and saw nothing but local life. No one hanging out to urge me in side any houses and everyone could tell I was there for only one reason.
I also search my tourist maps and didn't find area called Toul K. either.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I think I now realize my mistake, Perhaps I was dropped off at the right location but didn't realize it at 1st as I was VERY suspicious when motodope drove off immediately without hanging around to see if I went into any brothels so he could collect commission. As I said, saw the local life and yes by local= I means very rough or rundown area. When he drove off quickly and left me standing in a shanty street alone, I felt I was being set up for something, so I was on alert and didn't feel like looking into any doorways.
I was so use to the St 63 scene with pimps and touts yelling at me "hey, handsome man, want ladies"--ok, I'm not a handsome man but feels good anyway as it inflate my ego abit-ha ha. So when I was in TK area and no one urged me in I automatically assume they were not brothels as I also didn't bother to look into some of the houses(which couldv'e been brothel but didn't realize it). I just kept walking until I got to a main st and was tired and still saw no pimps hanging outside any houses so I flagged down moto and left.

hi shadow,
didn't realize the the riverside street was also consider tk district. i often thought it was abit pass the b.k lake that was consider tk territory, but nice to know.
so according to your post, by riverside rd you mean= sisowath quay right? i kinda remember sitting on a mototaxi from st 136 and going up siso.quay toward the jap bridge and only remember the street were mainly commerical/ manufacture/ maintenance shop area. so about where along the river will i start seeing these houses.(between which streets)
also, can you advise me within a small area of tk as i don't really want to walk around too much, where are the greatest concentration of houses with gals if i needed to make a quickey daily visit for "relief" when i'm there.
like i said before, if afraid ngo tuning in, pm me if you want.
thanks again

Can someone confirm this?
I thought TK was a FS area for $5 and not just BJ only. And I think someone did mention it was still $5?-even less if you were a native.
Help needed.
Need to avoid the disappointment of last year.
Thanks
Shark
Sorry to hear about your disappointment as you never mention that to me. So, have to add not finding TK along with having your money "magically disappearing" from St 63 to your list eh.
Just teasing you mate.
Yeah, I met Sharka once and had a few beers with him. Very Nice guy. honest and all -perhaps too honest to be a true monger like the rest of us, like I told him last time he should be glad he didn't do this for a living-ha ha.
He was a victim of St 63 "magic" disappearing pant/wallet act. Although we can't truly blame him since he was never informed of the scam and was not a member of ISG at the time. He's still learning the game so go easy on him.
Yes, Wendella and Shadow are correct. TK houses are near the French Embassy, Hmm-which is why there is almost nobody in the embassy during the day. I haven't been to that area in a while so can't comment if all the houses are alive and well or if area have been downsizing like the rest of the PP brothel scene--thanks to NGO.
Haven't been there in over 2 years- so my info could be outdated but it was FS at that time and not just BJ only and yes, price should be $5 only for either FS or BJ or both.
Best to visit this place ONLY during the day, try not to go after sunset when the vampires and demons come out. It is not a safe neighborhood. OK by day but not at nite.---IMO

motodop prices
Speaking of getting to TK.
If I started at St 136 hostess bar area and used mototaxi to TK area by the French embassy, never had a problem just giving them 2000r during the day before but this was last year. Can I still get there with 2000r or have the fare gone up in PP. Do they all demand $1 (4000r) now?
