This strange ritual can only be observed on any given night in Sanur, in the southern part of the Indonesian archipelago.
For reasons unknown, this unique species can be seen only on the streets of the Indonesian city of Sanur, performing their unique mating dance amongst barking dogs.
They are often seen in the shadows at a street corner first, reaching for a pocket to produce a piece of A4 paper. Peculiarly, they will then turn it upside down, look again, then turn it right way up again.
unexplicably they will then shuffle towards a streetlight & stare intently at their A4 sheet while looking left & right.
Upon performing this elaborate ritual, this unique species will move suddenly along the street, instinctively guided by some ancient instinct to the X sign displayed only in some houses of this city.
And now and only now Will the sanurius Barrius will begin the ritual of selecting a mate for this unusually short breeding season.
Those successful enough to find a mate may suddenly emerge from this extraordinary house on the back of a motorbike, to disappear with their sanurus Cewekus. Others will linger looking for a vacant nest at the house with which to couple with their chosen Cewekus.
Nobody understands yet where they come from or where they go or what that white piece of A4 paper signifies, recent research shows that the paper is often found in rubbish bins outside hotels & near airports.
Scientists tasked with explaining this phenomenon are yet to unearth the reasons for this unique and unusual display of nature.
Ta Barri.
