The USA Constitution requires their claim to be investigated to determine its validity.

Prior to Trump 1, that process took a few weeks. After Trump 1 gutted the legal immigration system before he was kicked out of office, that process took several months.

Hence, the backlog under Biden.

Not having enough holding stations for the backlog created by Trump 1, sanctuary cities had to be set up or Biden would have been violating his Oath of Office to uphold and abide by the USA Constitution.

I love that feminist link, MDS. That is a great assessment of how things are. My jaw dropped when I saw the author was a woman and then saw she was a mother of a few boys, and then I got it. Between 2010 and 2014, the DEA flooded the newspapers with the notion that doctors were writing too many prescription pain pills. This is where her point about cohesion versus competition and empathy versus rationality come shining through. It was like "Drugs are bad, m'kay. " What was so irrational about this is on the one hand you say the pills are addictive but on the other, the DEA was pushing that people get off their pain pills or have them reduced. There was no evidence that a reduction or stopping these pain pills would be beneficial.

I would agree that there should be much more thought given to starting patient on pain medication but if anyone thought those who have been taking these pills for 10 and 20 years and are suicidal without them were going to not seek out alternatives, well, then you are fucking nuts. So it was easy for me to predict that cutting down on pain pills was going to lead to an explosion in the number of deaths. My thought process was totally correct and rational.
