Wonderful site this - will try not to ask too many irritating newbie questions!

I'm based in Abu Dhabi and looking to start a glorious career in 'mongering' I think you call it. I'm a bit of a newbie to this too. I've read through a lot of the posts and want to avoid any of the obvious pitfalls.

Hi Rhode1, if you want top CIS I suggest you try flying to Moscow/Leningrad. You can also take a plane to anywhere and hit on the CIS flight attendants (but beware of women with "vagendas"!!!).

Quality of CIS (at least in Dubai) has gone downhill. Service was in general questionable (even though i had mostly good experiences) but now looks are down too. I have been "retired" for some time but my last "explorations" have been quite disappointing (I am talking about Dubai, but I heard AD is similar, probably worst than DXB in terms of choice)

You may be lucky, but I am dead serious that if you really have an itch for top CIS you should consider a short business trip. Either that or keep trying until you hit gold. But it may take time, the talent pool is shallow nowadays.

My last 3 takeaways in AD have been non-CIS, after years going to Dubai early in the 2000's and doing 80% CIS. Was not impressed with G's last time I went in September, but in March I had a nice light-skinned African gal who looked almost Spanish.
