What's happening down in Nuevo Laredo on the bar scene front? I'll be coming down from San Diego with my buddy from San Antonio on Friday 1/31. Tired of the hustle in Tijuana and down at some of the famous bars there like Adelitas, Hong Kong, etc. It's a major hassle to get in and out of Tijuana, with the border line wait sometimes 2-3 hours, waiters and professional chicas hustling the hell out of you, and the damn high prices for drinks, especially bebidas para las chicas.

I have had way better times down in Nuevo and I am looking forward to coming. I still owe you a beer from the last time I was down. Anyway, any information would be helpful.

How is the selection or quantity of working girls. I was thinking about going in a couple of weeks.

I'm headed to Laredo on business Friday and Saturday (2/7 and 2/8) , and was interested in hitting the downtown bars. Couple of questions:

1) Can you expect any decent women in the bars Friday before dark, or does it just pick up really late?

2) Any recent news on safety issues?

There were some smoking hot women at Danash and sometimes at the other clubs. It seemed like most of the hot ladies were from monterrey. My question is how many ladies would you estimate are available at the montera club on a Friday or Saturday night? Can you find any women in the 7-9 range? Do you have to pay Montera anything to take them out of the club? Also if you went in the afternoon would there be many ladies there?

Thanks for your help.[/QUOTE]7-9 range, in the Montera? Not many, but sometimes, all depends on your grading scale. All Montera girls are free lancers, come and go as they please, no bar fines. The afternoons can vary greatly, but usually you will find a few girls, not a real good time to be looking, but sometimes you would be surprised.

OK, so Friday night Jan 31 / Feb1.

Went into NLBT, saw one of my usual suspects. While that commenced, my buddy along for the ride ate at the taco stand. It had been a while since I had been to the border so a necessary recon mission was needed. Due to things going on the only available day was a Monday. On top of that the weather forecast was calling for rain so a slow night was inevitable but they have always been some of the better ones for me so off I went. Got there early, parked, walked across an the walked into La Montera at 4:50 in the afternoon. About 6 locals and 2 girls at the end of the bar. Of the two girls they were both doable but neither was anything special. After 2 beers I walked out and right as I was leaving a nice catch was walking in. I started to turn around but left anyway. Walked to Emilianos ordered a beer, drank half of it and went back to La Montera.

Went to Nuevo Laredo last weekend. Got there on a Friday, driving for 6 hours out of Houston. Showered and went to La Montera. Hung out with Lucy (mentioned in previous post). She is an attractive blond that is a pain in the neck in the bedroom with her cleanliness needs and want for additional monies. Anyway, when I was with her, in Montera, I told her I needed to get some fresh air, so I wen outside for 5 minutes and returned. For anyone else venturing down, please be careful with the back side of the bar, the dance floor side, generally speaking, the girls over there are not working, that is why they are over there. Leave them alone as you have no idea who they are with that night. The "shady people" riki mentions, I can assure you that if you don't bother them, they won't bother you.

Tonight, Friday night, soldiers ordered all activity closed at 2am, so everything down closed at 2am. No idea if this also affected boystown, we stayed locked in a bar until 2:30 and then went home.

I am planning a trip to NL. Could someone tell me a good hotel to stay? Is La Montera the best place to find good looking girls? Are there other places to find good looking girls?

What is best, park in US and walk or drive to NL? What about maney exchange? I appreciate as much info that you can provide since I have never been to the border for "business" and I do not want any trouble.

These people have made it almost impossible to monger in Reynosa without feeling threaten by them. I have had a few words with them but never any contact or fight, I do carry a 9 mm and I'd be damn if they every try any crap with me, but when you see 10 or 15 of these scumbags together it doesn't matter if your packing heat. These scum have ruined everything for us, I'd recommend next time to go to the military if they are near by and pay them $200 US and have that bastard shot. Tell them he tried to kidnap you or something. Sometimes its not worth it in Mexico anymore. Sad day when these assholes have taken over. It helps no one, not even business owners when these idiots show up, they take women with them and scare away business. Hopefully it will get so bad in Mexico that they get a harsh government that has zero tolerance for these pendejos!
