Currently, I am in Pattaya. What a disappointment this place is. I will describe Pattaya culturally. Imagine there was a mental institution in Thailand where they gathered the world's people including local Thai's. Then everyone was set free with the Thai's running the businesses. This is Pattaya. I have only been here a few days and I am feeling retarded myself. I could play insane looking at wall and laughing to myself better than anywhere else I have been and could fit in well. I have actually been this way with people laughing with me. The layers of crap and contempt are overwhelming. I was expecting contempt but this is too much. People make you feel like they are doing you a favor for answering questions and you are rude for not buying anything. I spoke to 2 well adjusted foreigners and even they described this place as crap. I asked why they lived here and they didn't even know? I am not catching the vibe of the bowing, indirect Thai's as well. The language barrier is worse than The Philippines and even the ones with English play stupid when you try to ask a direct question. People don't look happy here and the police feel hostile and worn down from dealing with everything. I have been calm and speaking slowly as well and this makes a difference but not much. The eye contact amongst the foreigners in Pattaya tell the story. No reason to continue in Thailand. To get away from contempt I would have to sacrifice too much infrastructure and language. I can sense this already. I probably won't even have sex in Pattaya. Maybe just a massage. I am not saying there aren't great hookers in Pattaya. I just can't get comfortable to find out. Next! I will use my time here for relaxation and planning. Also it is hotter in Pattaya than anywhere I was in the Philippines. I am headed off to Shanghai on Friday. After China I am headed to Vietnam. After that probably Barcelona and then down the coast of Spain for one last chance with the Spanish gene. Probably other places in Europe as well. About half of the apartment owners I rented from in Medellin lived in Spain. Maybe they know something. We shall see.

In the poor neighborhoods of Medellin I feel no foreigner contempt. It is warm and connected there. In Pattaya there are layers upon layers of contempt. [/QUOTE]These are the symptoms of the typical culture shock a person from a Latin culture gets when coming to Thailand (especially Pattaya), for the very first time. I had this about 15 years ago, too soothe myself I took "refuge" in Jomtien Beach. Of course, that did not made much of a difference, I still burned and shined in Pattaya, and various other places in Thailand and the Far East in the course of the following years.

I do not want to write a long or apologetic post or start a debate of Latin America Vs Thailand and the Far East. But I've been almost anywhere in LA, lived and did business many years in Buenos Aires, can pass for Argentinean if I stress the accent, etc. Now look where I'm spending my time and money? I can only reassure you that you haven't seen anything yet, you haven't seen with clarity, and of course you have have not enjoyed the great pleasure of strong and / or sweet sex with a Thai woman. As I'm used to say, Brazilians or Colombians can be great lovers, but an hot horny Thai woman is very, very hard to surpass in bed. True, with all the love for the Latinas.

Give Thailand a better chance. More correctly give yourself a chance to understand. About the women, sorry but you will have to try many and develop a sort of sixth sense to screen them and get lucky just sometime. The Latin rules of engagement don't apply here. I do not agree with your assertion that Latin women are not as horny as Thai women. I would say it's just the opposite. Also, Thai women cannot surpass Brazilian women in bed.

I have taken close to 20 trips to Thailand, and I would venture to say that Thai women are the best at pampering the men, and therefore provide the best GFE, IMO.

I am perplexed by your comments. Thais are among the friendliest people on earth. They don't call it the Land of Smiles for nothing.

I live in Russia and when I come to Pattaya just being on the street is like a family reunion. Everyone is so friendly and nice here by comparison. What would you do if you had to spend some time in Russia, hang yourself?

I put the over / under of concentration of LBs on Soi 7 at 30% with some questionable specimens. Silver Star go go on Soi 7 about 250 m from the beach charges around 85-95 be for Heineken but 110 bht for water. Bar fine is the standard 700 and 400 bht for room plus 2 k to girl for ST. That is a whopping 3100 bht (comparable to walking St where girls can be not too old). Some of the dancers have nice bodies but a lot of the dancers are on the wrong side of 30. I went at 1 am this morning and probably won't return. The staff was friendly and cordial and the girls shoot out ice cubes out of their vaginas. On a motorbike I saw a very nice lady wearing blk and pink the other night between soi 8 and bukhao. But it was well past 11 pm (fatigued) and I am budgeting my money so partying everyday of the week is out of the question since this is not an expense trip or short holiday.

Of course many foreigners (openly or not) absolutely love these negative aspects of the Thai society, and are actually happy to live isolated just to see that discrimination and injustice is ever tougher for others.

Sat on the bus and we waved good bye. To be honest it was the best non P4P action I had enjoyed.
