The US customs announced that travel restrictions would be extended to 7/21. My guess is that the travel restriction will be over unless there is a rise in Mexico. Personally I can't wait for Pedwest to reopen.

Yes this happen occasionally especially on Friday evenings. One option is get off to get off on Beyer blvd from the 905 and then cut down to San Ysidro blvd. One time the traffic was so bad that no one would let me over to exit on Camino De La Plaza. I had to go through the turn around at the border. There was a lot of fools driving on the shoulder and the CHP was giving out a lot of ticket. Most of the people crossing the border are Mexican's heading home.

You can go to Tijuana for "Health" as is one of the options on the FMM form if they ask for it. So your tooth that is giving you a little pain is the reason your going. The dentist on Av Revolucion 868 is called "I Love My Dentist" and they are open Saturday's not too far from Norte where you can stop after the dentist.

They may ask for this form or not. I just crossed Sunday and just asked where I was going and I told them to a dentist. No problems and no further questions asked.

Yep Curry, I found the same with ratty hotels. But. They do make some good memories. Hotel room across from HK that I took a SG up several times. Shower didn't work. Pretty small cheezie room but it was an "experience" that I am glad I had.

When I powered up my Verizon cell after crossing the border from the US it took 15 minutes and several power cycles of my phone for it eventually to connect to Verizon. (I really wanted to use the phone for Uber etc.).

Myself and buddy ended up taking a Taxi to Playas to check out another friends $600 apartment. (she retired in Tijuana a couple years ago).

Anyway. Curious how are others deal with phones and privacy issues??

I did not like the products and I've given at least a dozen BGs my cell number. They all prefer WhatsApp (which uses your real number) and with 1 exception, they have never called or texted outside of that app. If you have a nosy GF or wife, I imagine it is not worth the risk. I don't give my number to every chica, but if there is some level of trust, I don't hesitate & I've never had a problem. Like I said I don't recommend it but just sharing my experience. Get a free Google Voice number if you don't want to give out your normal mumber. Get T-mobile for your regular phone. I do not have to touch anything when I go to other countries. Plus calling and text is free between USA, Mexico, and Canada.

About 30% bar girls and 20% street girls would respond to tel or texts. If you know them well like one of my wingmen, you would have much higher response rates.

Is the challenge only when entering Mexico to show a legitimate reason for entry? Are there no issues with returning back to USA? I am okay if turned back to US while entering Mexico but can't take risk of being turned back while coming back to USA. I am a permanent resident if that matters. Would appreciate if anyone has any insights on this. Also, I guess I can't use the "visiting dentist" reason if I am going for few days. What do you all give as reason while entering (hopefully something that holds good for few days)?
