Midnight, travel time isn't a big difference, although I hope to be in my hotel by 9:30. However, since my first night is just a refresher before a short island hop, the morning traffic back from Loksari could easily add an hour or more.
There is much more to the Jakarta area than just Loksari. I know exactly what to expect at the handful of places that get reviewed. It's convenient and easy, but there's no real thrill. I'd rather get turned down in 5 places that get 3 bules per year, before finding a gem who is somewhat interested in the activities. Why travel halfway around the world to eat at McDonald's, sleep at Holiday Inn and fuck in the same spot as every other visitor?
There is nothing wrong with your motivation, but since you've asked three specific questions, here is my take.
Because Holiday Inns tend to be a solid yet reasonably priced choice in Asia; because spots that attract a lot of mongers are usually successful for a reason; and even McDonalds in foreign lands can provide some interesting experiences due to local culinary twists.

Your question was valid. Unfortunately, the first answer. To which you appear to have taken offence. Was the most correct.
Doing your thing around the peripheries of Jakarta is noble and OS can understand how from the comfort of your computer in whatever distant land you sit, it looks easy. But it is lined with frustrations and pitfalls.
There is a reason why everybody flocks en masse to Tamansari / Mangga Besar / Lokasari. Since the days of the Dutch, it has been the Sodom and Gomorra of Indonesia. It's simple there. Plenty of selection, good prices and open till 4 AM, you do your thing and go home.
It's also simple in those other locations but in the middle of the night, without any language skills you are just as likely to spend the night bumping around in some mosquito ridden taxi getting disappointed and frustrated. Most of the places you list as being still operating will close at 10 PM leaving you at the mercy of a taxi driver or hotel security to organise your long anticipated release and which will come at triple the price of what you might get in town, with ladies of considerably less selection and quality.
To get into the groove you may be smarter to hang up your boots for the first night and get a ride into town, do your thing and ride back to your subsequent travel plans.
Alternately try to find somewhere nearby to Soekarno Hatta in PIK which has a nightlife scene.
Today I woke up with mild flue symptoms, no doubt caused by the icy airconditioning in taxis, brothels, restaurants and hotel lobbies. Despite feeling under the weather I still managed to have a fullfilling session thanks to the skills and sexyness of Karin at Emporium. I strongly recommend this girl if you like a full bush between a woman's legs and a super tight pussy. She is also a great actor for a porn star experience.
Whenever you have the choice between tipping the girl in the room (in cash) and tipping on the invoice to be settled at front desk, do the former because if you do the latter the House will take a cut on the tip.
Is this at Emporium? I don't know that. I've only been once and at the end of the session, the girl gave me a little slip of paper that asked how much I would like to tip and to rate the girl. I don't know if that is the standard protocol or if the girl was new. I then settled the bill at the counter after using the dressing room.
I guess you wanted to tip the girl in cash, you would have to grab your wallet from the locker after you use the pool and before you go to the room.

I never use the pool so I always bring my cash with me into the room. At 1001 they hadn't let me keep my belt pouch so the only way to tip was on the slip.

Yesterday the girl I sessioned at Classic's told me barfining a girl for the night at Classic's will set you back 3 million. Not really worth it unless you really fancy a girl. This figure also provides a basis for estimating a girl's typical number of customers.
Yes, the girls tell you a lot if, for example, they are not interested in you or if they are new. Ask them when they have their day off and the price should not be more than 1 million. Anything else really doesn't make sense in a city like this.

Floods
Guys, watch your travel time to and from the airport. The current floods impact the tall road going to the airport.

Cell phone in Emporium
If you want to keep using your phone in the room, Let's say to use the translation app or get the girls contact, ask reception to put stickers on your camera holes instead of locking your phone in this plastic bag.
Thanks for the reminder. It seems Google Maps keeps up to date with floodings. Still, I hope it doesn't get out of control.
Wow to have it appear on the news like that it must be horrendous.
I was caught up in a downpour a few weeks back, roads near WTC mangga dua turned into a river. No kidding I was 15 minutes walk away from my hotel ended up taking 2 hours. Even stranger as one side of the was fine but the other side was a river. Nothing in the news about that but the drains in Jakarta can be terrible, that seemed to be the root cause of those conditions. If the forecast is bad for next few days, I'the advise anyone who can flexibly change their flight to do so.

On their day off, if you can wait till then, it is as you indicate up to the girls themselves.
I've still got so many things to learn then since everyone should know things I didn't. I wasn't overly surprised when the girl told me, but, silly me, I'd have thought management wouldn't be be so mean as to scrounge on girl's tips.
Not overly surprised myself either, but since in both cases you need to fill out a paper slip stating at least some of the tip amount for management to see, I was hoping the difference would be minimal.
Did you happen to ask how much they took away? Last time I only brought enough cash for tips at Classic, and tipped via card at Emporivum, which is much easier of course.

For someone who collects IHG points, and spends a lot of time in hotels, Holiday Inn is a good choice, plus you know what you're getting. No argument there. However, I've had some interesting experiences in little, locally owned hotels, or even in a country's own luxury chain.
The spots that attract lots of mongers tend to be easier to handle. Many mongers want a solid routine, in a place where they feel comfortable. If it's a low cost option, even better. My mood changes. At times I want to slum it, roll into the lowest dive I can find and search for a diamond. Other times I want to get dressed up and spend some money. I like rolling into a spa not knowing if it's legit. If the girl is hot, I'll find out if she's corruptable.
I've added Hatch green Chiles to my Big Mac in Albuquerque. I'd rather sit down in a family run place and learn about the food.

The girls look VERY happy every time I tell them that tip will be in cash. It seems management is taking a lot.

I wasn't overly surprised when the girl told me, but, silly me, I'd have thought management wouldn't be so mean as to scrounge on girl's tips.
You read about how mamasans and management treat the girls like crap in all the mongering countries. Yet you somehow believe that they will happily hand over all that money to the girl when they make a small portion of what that girl makes? The cashier and mamasans see the young girl's one hour tip which could be more than they make in a day or even a few days. The mamasan or cashier gets jealous of how such a young girl can make so much more than them. They change the amount saying the customer changed their mind.
You think these girls keep a list of each customer and each tip on a spreadsheet or something? Let's say the girl keeps a spreadsheet of all her tips and even takes picture proof. How hard do you think she is going to fight for her rightful money in these countries? You really think once they stole the money they will return it?
The most common way that mamasans steal money from the girls is after the girl gets a big tip or on payday the mamasan asks her underling for a small loan which most girls will give. What percentage of girls do you assume get paid back because it would be so mean not to do so?
Yes, all of you guys should know this.

Teaching doggy
I was with this 19 why / o at Kota Indah today who was such a bad performer that I stopped the session and just asked her to cuddle. Call me a sucker, but I truly believe that she didn't do it on purpose, it was lack of experience and my (medium size) dick seemed to hurt her. This is why I didn't complain, tried to hide my disappointment and just told her that I was tired. But she realized that it was because of her, became worried and insisted on suggestions how she could improve her performance. Out of her many problems I picked the topic of how to arch in doggy. She didn't really grasp the problem. In the end I took photos of her in the right and the wrong position. Once she saw the pictures, she finally understood. I hope she remembers the insight she gained today.
