The new laws that have allowed for this crackdown expanded their authority to bust places like this. Now they don't need to find used condoms or other obvious evidence to make an arrest. A disrobed patron will suffice. An hj is considered a "sexual favor" under the new laws.

I went up to Friends on Sunday but they were closed; I was gutted.

I think Friends is OK. My personal preference is to pay a little more and maybe find a more upscale place. On the way back the cab driver told me Miari is open, but 588 isn't. That contradicts what some other people have said here, so I don't know how much to believe that. I would just have the cabbie drive me through the RLDs to see if they're open.

Stopped by In and Out for a massage with Mimi, but about 20 minutes into the session, two plain clothes KNP pulled the curtain. I knew immediately they were Cops, so much for the guy at the front desk having some signal for the girls when the Cops show up. Maybe the KNPs were there to get their shakedown money, but whatever the case I could hear them talking in a very business like tone.

I kept asking Mimi what was going on but she kept saying "mula-yo", so I got up got dress and gingerly walked past them at the door, put my shoes on and left. I visited 588 last night, Friday. I've talked to a few taxi drivers, who all confirm that basically, Yongsan, Miari, and 588 are open (they get a lot of fares that way late at night, like me). 588, however, had a major police presence, and in fact, there were more cops than customers. My friend talked with one, who confirmed that they have essentially gone back to the previous tolerant attitude. However, he did confirm that there may be additional crackdowns. I think the reason they aren't doing much now is that it is relatively abandoned -- only about 1/3 of the shops remain open, and it seems to me that many of the really hot girls were the first to go. For a Friday, it was definitely dead, but at least I got my rocks off. Incidentally, the girls were pretty aggressive in opening doors and yelling at us.

Incidentally, prices, despite the collapse in the market on both sides, have remained the same. 70,000 won for one time, 180,000 (bargain down to 150,000) for an hour.

Not much of an update, but I did break up with the Miari gal recently.

She still calls every now and then. A few days ago she told me that it's up and running again. She said the cops are pretty much gone. As others have said, Miari seems to be okay to go to once more. I personally have not visited Miari or any RLD/MP/etc in months so I have no personal experiences as of late.

Anyway, she's got 11 more days in Miari until she quits and heads down to Busan to be with her family. For me though, it's time for me to hit the club scene again and look for a nice little hottie to bang on Christmas and New Years.

Jeez, Runn Mann, I was at the In & Out on Saturday, and I remember wondering why they hadn't been busted, it seems they have actually added some new lighting and displays and have the door wide open in the evenings.

I mean, it says "Men Only" on the front, what's anyone going to think? They are hardly discreet.

Also, when I went in, there was another girl working a guy and I could hear them panting, I thought, if I was the cops, I would know what was going on right away. There is nothing anyone could have done about it either.

Went to Geckos for a Guiness (pretty dead actually) and then did a quick tour of the Hill. Nothing new, mostly the skanks were out up top and one looked like she'd been used and abused and then used again (looked diseased actually so be careful)...

Looked in Fantasy Club and got yelled out by Mia so either she was busy or was not in the mood. But is she's entertaining can't she at least lock the friggin' door?

I did run into one of my favorites, Yu Mi, who works up above Tiffany's Bar but can't remember the name of the place.
