It would not be necessary to slow things down with full moderation if members would report offensive posts to the board moderators and the offenders are promptly and publicly warned and disciplined.
I hate the racist posts as much as anybody and reported two of them recently and they got deleted the same day.
That is all we have to do. Instead of arguing with these guys just report the posts. There is a link to do so in every post.
The Brazil forum is probably the most popular by far, so we are going to get knuckleheads along with the good. On the same note, being so popular means lots of posts and information coming all the time. We do not need to slow down the information.
Lets all be more vigilant about reporting these guys rather than arguing with them and getting yourself in trouble with the ADMIN!

I agree. No need for full moderation.
We all joined this forum for the purpose of exchanging information which will help us in our mongering. Occasionally there are members posting racist comments. IMO these members are lowlifes and have nothing to contribute to the forum, and they deserves a warning.
I ask myself why these racist members bothers going to Brazil if they dislike dark skinned people?

Yeah, seconded, thirded whatever.
btw. Jackson's running of the board is ace IMO. A lot of boards really get their knickers in a twist over such stuff.

Report offensive posts
It would not be necessary to slow things down with full moderation if members would report offensive posts to the board moderators and the offenders are promptly and publicly warned and disciplined.
For example, take a look below at the posting at 22:29 yesterday. This is an offensive post that should be flagged for review by the moderators. The poster should be warned to cease and desist. The poster modified the message since yesterday and somehow gets under the wire of any review.

Can we get this post deleted as well?

Moderation - No
This is a forum for us to discuss women and in a broader sense share our experiences about Brazil. A discussion of race has its place, it is just not here. Let's get back to the purpose of this forum and let Jackson get back to more important things than babysitting the Brazil forum.

Just Say No
[blue]Greetings Everyone,
Jamaicanceo has suggested that I place the Brazil Forum on full moderation.
This would result in every report being held for moderation before being visible in the forum.
Tell me what you think.
Thanks,
Jackson[/blue]
I'll join the chorus of "no moderation" votes. We have an existing policy to handle these problems, viz. if you don't like an offensive post, report it.

Mongers-
I agree with the other posters that there is absolutely no place on this forum for any racist comments or complaints. The purpose of this forum is to facilitate the exchange of information for the purpose of finding women for sex. I also travel to Colombia and participate in the Medellin and Cali threads; the Colombian forum is a pain in the ass because it has been on full moderation for over a year. The Brasil forum is more accessible because there is no delay. By the way, I am about to get on a plane Rio as we speak to enjoy the alleged last two nights of Help.

Why are we deleting the posts instead of just banning the offending person?

Guys!! ENOUGH ALREADY!!
Lets get back to talking about Brazil and its fine women! I have made 20+ trips to Rio, in fact met various men out here from this website, who I hung out with in Rio and created great friendships!! OF ALL BACKGROUNDS and RACES!!
Please guys, no more racial comments and lets enjoy all of our stories and knowledge on Brazil.

I don't see a need for increase moderation. I have found the forum informative, helpful and most of the posters respectful of each other when they disagree. Occasionally, the racist posts flair up, but I think they could be handled through the report abuse feature.
-
No!!!
I also vote NO to full moderation.
Offensive reports are handled through the report abuse feature.
Those who can't place nice with others should be reported to the mod and be kicked out of the playground.

being that it just boils my anger to have deal with the issues of the few
But that said I vote to moderate.
