Well I've been quite busy in Cali. The truth is I haven't had time for a run at the casas, been too busy with a few regular chicas I met, my favorite being my little morenita ... "mi chocolate" ... what a great chica!

I've been thinking about trying colombia for awhile and Ive narrowed it down to cali. I think cali would be cheaper than medellin and more sleazy. Would this be correct ?
My concern is the type of service I would be getting. At this point in the game I need BBBJ DATY and ball washing to get off. I have had experiences before with colombian women in ecuador and costa rica and they were all pros and quite agressive. Ive been told colombian women on their own turf are different.
Can you do anything else intresting in cali ? I like to stay away for a month at a time.

I don't think you will find a noticeable difference in cost between Cali and Medellin. In fact, strip clubs seem cheaper in Medellin. The women from Cali are generally more sleazy than the women from Medellin, but I would say the sex scene is more sleazy in Medellin. This is due to a much more active street sex scene in Medellin and a higher number of mid and low-end strip clubs.

I've never heard of altitude sickness being an issue in Cali. As far as interesting things to do in Cali, I'm drawing a blank. Cali is very boring to me outisde the mongering scene.

Cali does have a few touristy things to do.

There is the Tres Cruces mountain that you can visit. There is the Loma de al Cruz artisan area where you can be a variety of arts and crafts. There is thr Plaza dos Toros which has sporting events. There is family oriented fair south of the city on haciendas offering playgrounds, live music, and food on week-ends. There is also a very popular water park north of the city. I think it is a 45 minute bus ride.

However, compared to Cartagena or Santa Marta, Cali is NOT a tourist mecca.

You might want to try San Siprano and Lago Calima while your in Cali. These toursitic things arent in Cali however are 1 - 2 Hr drive.

San Cipriano is a tiny, almost inaccessible village that sits on a stunningly clear river that flows through the same dense jungle of the famed Darien Gap.

I'm remembering a few options now. Kilometer 18 is a nice place to visit if you want to get away from the heat in Cali. It's just outside Cali up in the mountains. You'll find good food from vendors/restaurants, the scenery is great if you like mountains, and the temp is about 10 degrees cooler. Just tell the taxi driver Kilometer 18 and they'll know what you mean.

There's the famous Chipchape mall and I also like Jardin Plaza (in the South of Cali), Cosmo Centro (good place for watching/picking-up women), and Palmetto Mall (free wireless internet in food court).

Horseback riding is very common and cheap around Cali.

If you like eating Cholados and would like to visit a nearby city, try Jamundi (where there is a lot of horseback riding too). It's about 30 minutes from the center of Cali.

If your considering investing in Colombia, you can kill time and maybe find a good investment by touring some of the many new condos and houses they are building (mostly in the South of Cali).

Ok, most of these things are pretty boring, but that's all I've come-up with on my visits to Cali. At least the nights are fun.

Thanks for the reply! I only went to one place on carretera 15 and did not see any back rooms or anybody leaving. I also am used to going to "piano bars" or hostess clubs where the girls are not obligated to have sex with customers, but many will if they dig you. Interesting to find out that they are in fact hookers.

Here in the DR we have the piano bars and there are all different levels of "class" etc. In fact in many of the upscale places, guys with money do go there. I went to one place that is in a poor barrio, and out front were parked Beamers, Jags and mercedes amongst the jeepetas. Typically the waitresses wind up hooking up with a novio after working there a few months. Many of the moneyed go there to look for mistresses or novias.

I am not sure when I will return to cali but I will be there at some point next year. I will definitely hit carretera 15 and I also had luck in the 2 dive strip clubs that were on avenida sexta. Was not big on the casas as the line up and choose method does nothing for me.
