Well, if the above numbers are correct, then the raid only took out perhaps 1 street full of brothels (1 block) as St 63 houses extend much further down (I'd day at least 5-6 blocks from what I remember) so only closed a small portion of this section.

Drats. Maybe next time.
In 1 month the police raided 3 bars and closed them.
1. Blue Lagoon, str 108. Closed coz of nudity dancing. Khmer owned.
2. Irish Bar, str 136, Closed coz of the owner pressed the girls to go away with customers. Korean owned.
3. Cheerleaders, side street of str 136, opposite Irish. Closed Wednesday. Reason unknow. Western owned.
Maybe the police is getting short of money.

I would like to have things organized and know where I am at. The reason why I asked for places with reliable broadband connection is that my income comes from an online business that I need to maintain.
I was hoping some of you locals could briefly comment on:
1) How fast the connection is? (4mb,8mb?)
2) Reliability?(any powercuts?)
3) How are the procedures of renting condos/apartments in PP?(scamfree?)

Brothels in 63 st have always guest thieves, don t have short memory, ever 5/10 years ago just hanfull places was recommanded for barang.

I am researching a trip to Cambodia and after reading through much of this forum I see that there are alot of Viet providers in cambo.
I thought Cambodia was a poorer country. Why would girls come from a rich country to become providers in a poorer country?
Because I am on a budget for a 18-22 quality girl are the prices cheaper in vietnam or in Cambodia?
Planning on a visit coming weekend. Wondering if Walkbout is still functioning in view of the raids mentioned.
Any info and suggestions welcome.

I don't think Cambodia is not much poorer country than Vietnam, both are third world country after the war, I think there are also more girl avalible in vietnam and less crack down in cambo but that is changing goverment is starting to crack down as this country is growing not a wild west country like 10 yr ago.

It would be interesting if any mongers know the story here.
I was last in Cambodia well over a year ago, but even at that time the availability of Vietnamese girls was far less than back in the good old days like 2000-2003. Recently one sees many venues staffed mostly or entirely with Cambodia girls, who just don't do much for me.
