Well, I don't share this view. I find these endless discussions about negociations boring and somewhat depresssing. ......So I think one can show some empathy.
Empathy? Sure!
As I said, I did pay over 3 k per day, per 24 hour period, in addition for all meals and drinks alone (of about another 1 k when we were out together during the 24 hour period. At Insomnia or other places) and one piece dresses I bought for her at Central Festival Mall to wear when we were out. But, that was not cash in her pocket, but rather consumption with me or for me.
So, any implication of lack of empathy on my part I believe is questionable. So, why get on your high horse and say ' I am an European etc ' ? . Well, I am an American and so is Mr Ent. !
The key issue that MR Ent was pointing out is the cost of living for a girl in Pattaya vs. Germany (your FKK example), and even lower cost than Pattaya, for the girls family who most likely lives in Isaan. So, the key question is what does say 2,000 baht buy or get a girl, in Pattaya or Isaan, vs. the normal net FKK prices that a girl can buy for herself in Germany, including cost of outfits and costumes for their work, transportation, make up etc, and of course rent, clothing, food etc. That's where the logic is. And, I suppose you are just a little bit logical?
Anyway, it's a free world and it is your free choice. All Mr ENT and I were trying to do is refer you to the going prices, just like the ' going prices ' you quoted for an FKK. Unless of course, in Germany you usually like to pay 2, 3 or 4 times the going FKK prices, based on empathy, in which case, you are certainly being consistent. And, if you don't pay 2 or 3 times the going FKK price when you are in Germany, given the price index there, does that mean that you don't have empathy for the girls there ? Anyways, all the very best and please do whatever makes you happy. Cheers! 😇

It was'nt at all directed against you, the fact I replied to yours is just hazard. Maybe -and probably- I expressed myself inadequately. What I wanted to state are two things: first, there are pages and pages filled in the Thailand forum about bargaining and even the price of beers from one club to another: frankly is it different for any of us to pay 80 or 100 bath for a beer? Going through all these mails (would prefer field reports! Is boring, to me and likely to many of us! Second what I wanted to say is basically the same about girls: as you said it is everyone's decision to choose how much he is ready to spend. But on the top I want to mention that: should we torture our neurones about paying let's say 800 instead of 700 to spend some hours with a girl. 100 bath are roughly 2,5 Euros. All is said, I guess. And yes, I don't feel comfortable asking a girl to lower her price by 100 bath to spend a couple of hours with a man she would never wish to have sex with. I don't buy a vagina, I rent a person and am aware of that. Again, please, don't take it for yourself, my contribution is a general remark meaning that I have some trouble reading whole pages about some dozens of baths while the guy spends hundreds of dollars or Euros for his flight and stay.

I did not misunderstand you at all.
I think you on the other hand, it seems, did not; and seem to refuse to acknowledge, the relative cost indexes of different countries, cost of living and why things, when coverted using different curriencies produce such disparities. This is what some economists refer to when they use use the term ' economic buying power incomes' and others in financial circles call geographic arbitrage.
Finally, it's all relative.
In the overall scheme of relative POV's, you paying 100 baht for a beer, others could look down upon it. And say that is gross beer.
I don't spend the way I do based purely on what I can afford, but also based on what is appropriate in cost of living and local currency terms. Can I afford to pay or spend $10 k every month for travel and entertainment? Maybe. But there are many others, who are friends, former colleagues, college class mates, and family members, who I know for sure, can easily afford to pay $50 k USD a month on travel and entertainment. They would maybe look at me in their own private minds and say what you say. And the same about your relative monetary comparisons. It's all relative.
Just ask the King of Thailand, one of his family members, or the business owners in Pattaya and BKK, who I have seen in Ferraris or Lamborghinis. Again, it's all relative. Neither you, nor I, are anyone special or important. So any such claim is just a relative claim and that's why I was musing that perhaps it is best to get off your monetary high horse. You may feel like a King in Thailand and that's great. But don't forget that's just feel good BS your stupid brain is feeding you. So, I say when in 'Rome' try your best to do, and be seen as, doing what the 'Romans' do, or something close to it, since we are tourists after all.
As you know, there are many in Rome and Paris who lament how the American, Japanese and other tourists muck it up for them in their own countries. I try, just a little bit, not to muck things up for the other guys. And keep the girls within relative local limits.
I'm not as good as Mr. ENT, but I am always consciously trying to not screw things up for the others either now, or in the future. Besides, you may also end up shooting yourself in the foot and return one day in the near future sucking your thumb and finding that prices are 10,000 baht or 15,000 baht as a result.
Everybody's actions feeds a 'do loop'. And many of the girls will learn very fast. And many do already do a number on many Germans and Europeans. Many girls in Insomnia are already getting paid a regular monthly amount of $300-$500 by guys from Germany (one that I met and posted about with a photo), Middle East and particularly Scandinavia. These are the very same girls that Mr ENT then gets for 1000 because the guys in Europe or the Middle East are subsidizing them. Same in Rio, or Sao Paolo, or Colombia or the DR. Most of these girls will be making fun of such guys with their girl friends, anyway.
BTW! This all started with you saying you paid 3000 for a LT with a Beach Rd girl ( probably one of the cheapest girls in Pattaya ). It was NOT about 2.5 euros about a beer. So, I don't get distracted by you saying it is about a beer and 2.5 euros. That's just BS.
The intent was to help you, not dishelp (yeah I know it's not a real word) you! But no one has a problem with you and your money subsidizing others. I am sure some will say 'Dank you very much' !

I was in the red light district in Amsterdam a couple of years ago and went to one of the chicks in the window to ask how much her services were. She said 80 euro (3178 baht). I also asked her how much she had to pay for the room. 250 euro/day (9,934 baht) was her answer. So after knowing that, it was perfectly understandable why her services were 80 euro. She had to get at least 3 customers everyday just to recoup the space that she works in. Then of course she has to pay for a place to live and all the other jazz that Haven mentioned.
If we are talking about one punter giving a Thai chick 3000 baht for one day when her place of living for the entire month is 5000 baht, then...I hope you can see where I am coming from.
What Gannaton may not realize is that Thailand is a bargaining culture. Many on this board look at the Indian brothers crazy when they are trying to make deals. But guess what? They are doing the same thing in Thailand as they do back home. The same way that people who feel uncomfortable bargaining and make every excuse for not doing it are practicing their culture of paying whatever they are told the price is without negotiating. When in Rome you do as the Romans do. In Thailand, the first price is not the final price unless you are in a modern shopping mall like Central Festival. See the link for details:

I just like going places and paying a fair price for that particular locality. I would not go to Thailand thinking well it costs so much back home so I don't mind paying this because it is way cheaper; the same way I would not go to London and tell the taxi driver, "Hey Man I am not going to give you 50 pounds for a ride because back home it would only cost 30 pounds". He would say, "Well you are not back home, so keep walking buddy." That is why it makes no damn sense bringing what things cost back home or any other place into the equation.

I have been preaching this for years. It's all about the local economy and what a person pays back home has no bearing on the costs here in LOS. Sadly Mr E so many punters think that it does and it has a very negative effect on the market. I remember one of my first trips to Nom Penh in '00. A friend was living there and we met up soon after my arrival. The first thing he told me was, "This is what you pay the girls. If you pay more you ruin it for all of us. " he's right.
I was in Pattaya a couple of weekends ago and was stunned at the price some of the gals are trying to get. Would love to meet up for a drink next time I am there Mr E. Sounds like you are a great dude to hang out with. I stopped going to Pattaya regularly about 9 years ago. It's very different now.
But you agreed to pay the 3K before you experienced her awesome service so that has nothing to do with your reasoning to pay that amount. To put things in perspective for you, my rent is 4500/month and my girl makes 300/day working in a salon. I once met a FL on Walking Street who would come over every now and then. She told me that if a guy sent her 10K/month it would be sufficient for her to go back home and not be a hooker again. 3K is a lot of money in these parts. And many would say wayyy to much money for a Beach Road freelancer. Next time shoot for 1K long time and see how it works out for you.
P.S. Got a sick girl? It costs Thais 30 baht to go to the public hospital. Did your girl's family's buffalo get sick or die? It costs 1000 baht to buy a new one.
I live in the Isaan Bush and there is no way you can buy a cow for 1000 THB let alone a buffalo so IMO your info is well out of date. He invested in his brother in law's business, so this info came directly from him. He speaks Thai fluently and teaches me many things about the Thai language and culture. The Thai word for banana is gluay\, Mr. E. You left out the "l."
gluay\ khai_ is a variety of banana -- the small lady finger kind. You know that khai_ means eggs -- not dick, but slang for balls (testicles).
guay/ or (guai) as you put it means noodle.
khuay- is a vulgar slang term for penis.
khwaai- means buffalo. If you pronounce it wrong a Thai girl might think you mean dick.
Maybe your pal doesn't speak Thai as fluently as he would have you believe. Just saying :)

To add to the fun: Some girls, Vietnamese in particular, call my dick a banana when they speak English to me. 555. I like their slang term and find it endearing when they use it in naughty conversation.
I wish I spoke Thai fluently like some of you guys. It is a great asset to possess. Most of the Thai girls I hook up with speak a somewhat limited bar girl English. I can't really converse with them like I can with my Pinays.
