FKK Sharks - Darmstadt

The biggest reasons for choosing rental car would be (1) flexibility of not committing to a specific club for a specific day, (2) flexibility to attend multiple clubs per day, and (3) sleeping in your car to save on hotel costs.

For a two-day trip, I would suggest that Memphis10 switch his hotel to Darmstadt if he can. And just attend Sharks both days. Biggest LU. Agree with Takedown--I don't think there is much to see at Manhattan on Sunday. So, no problem staying longer on Friday and Saturday nights at Sharks.

Will absolutely write up a very detailed trip report upon return (or the next day). I can't express enough gratitude for the reviews here.

Most of the trip is business but FKK weekend travel will be on my dime. €50 is high for taxi but I don't know when I get back and am uneasy with Sbahn and random walking / etc in Germany (first time) so its worth it for minimal hassle.

Now I'm half wondering if I stay close Saturday (long day flying over) and hit Mainhattan 3 or 4 till 12 ish to "get my FKK feet wet", then head to Sharks Sunday for discount admission around 2-3 and stay till 12 ish?

Or am I shorting myself badly by not seeing Sharks Saturday night? FYI budget is not crazy big. Maybe €7-800 for weekend not counting taxis.

My 1.5 hour estimate is probably a little too conservative but my guess is that it would take him well over an hour to get to Central station, wait for trains, take the ride, then walk or bus to Sharks. Not sure where you saw the 29 minute route but most routes from central station are roughly 45 minutes not including walking time, purchasing ticket time, and wait time. No way he does it in 30.

My experience on Saturdays is that girls start leaving at 10 pm but many top girls stay until 2 am and it fizzles after that, but my last visit was back in August.

But yeah, if visiting just for hobbying and changing your hotel is even an option, then take the Airliner and stay at Contel.

So it all depends how quickly it gets eaten up by patrons. Also it depends on the day and how many patrons the club has, it seems from my experience. More customers / nights which are more crowded, food stays out / gets refilled longer. I've seen regular food out until 2+/3, and I've also seen days where 1 am+, you're lucky if there's still bread.

Once at the station (hotel is 5 minute walk) on the upper tracks the RB68 leaves on the:06 each hour. In theory upon arrival to the tracks the machine to buy the ticket is right on the platform, takes 30 seconds, 8,50 e. Hop on the train pulls in to Darmstadt 19 minutes later at:25, two minutes to walk to a cab and tell him you want the fixed 10 e fare and arrive at Sharks 10 minutes later. Total time hotel to Sharks 36 minutes roughly, call it 35-40 minutes door to door.

Coming back same thing leaves Darmstadt on the:30 and:19 back to the city. Late night things change a tad, see Nick's post below.

Several other regional not the SBahns also leave the upper tracks and have fast rides, the RB60 looks like it is only:17 min; that RB60 is usually the one coming back I would get on if late night and the RB68 wasn't running.

This is the easiest and fastest and cheapest way to go to Sharks via public transport from central Frankfurt. Coming back, if after 22.00, your best bet is to revert to the train connections from Darmstadt Hbf.

He is thus a very short walk from Ostendstrasse station where he can catch the S3 direct to Darmstadt hourly. From Ostendstrasse to Darmstadt it is only about 30 minutes. The S3 arrives at Darmstadt at xx55. He can take Bus R at xx04 for free, and he wiil be at the bus stop outside Sharks by xx11. Total of about 45 minutes including walking time. (Very little 'random walking' required.)

Actually he can get to Mainhatten even faster from there using Tram11. Total of about 20 minutes.

And if he had only booked the other Fleming's instead, he could have hopped to FKK Palace in 15 seconds!

You guys realize that this is his first time right? If you've made the trip a dozen times, sure you can get there in 45 flat. But let's be realistic and plan for inefficiencies in the system.

Memphis, on such a short trip and for a first timer, I would not even waste time at Mainhattan. It might be worth it once you've made some visits and are ready to explore more clubs searching for diamonds in the rough. Sharks is ideal for a first timer due to the large volume and I can't say that the girls there target first timers any more than at Mainhattan. It would be good to see Sharks at 6 pm on a Saturday as that would probably be the single best combination of time and place to find the best optical line up in all of Germany with perhaps Oase being second.

My personal itinerary however would be Oase Saturday afternoon before 4 pm and through the night then back at Sharks before 1 pm the next day to catch both discount entries. This allows you to see 2 clubs while being able to catch 2 relatively prime times for optics.

700-800 is plenty for 2 days unless you're overpaying or doing tons of anal and CIM, or drinking a lot.

If that fails is myTaxi reliable to grab a ride from there to Sharks if I somehow fuck up the transfer?

And as already stated, they are fast (17-18 min), only one stop between Frankfurt and Darmstadt at Langen.

In the night: latest departure from Darmstadt at 00:30, (1:30 and 3:30 only on Saturday and Sunday early mornings).

caution: in the coming weeks, there is a lot of construction work going on, so some trains may not be running after midnight!

You mentioned it several times before here on the forum.

Restriction can be that until 15:25 trains leave Frankfurt only every second hour.

And: yeah, it is nice to walk from Darmstadt Nord to Sharks, but imo only if the weather is fine.

I've seen they on slow Monday nights.
