So what is the exchange rate from canadian $$$ in sosua ?

The exchange rate for the American dollar is 33.950RD for $1 US dollar. I am not sure what they are doing in Soua but if you have an ATM car get your money out of Scotia Bank and you should get a rate close to that.

Yes canadian dollars are not a bad idea. However I have seen it equal to the dollar at times.

The dollar has been at 33.60 for the past two days. I cashed enough to get me through the rest of the week.

Talked to my novia tonight and she told me that 2 tourists were killed in Sosua today with a knife. I don't know any more details, and there is no guarantee that she has got the story completely right, but does anyone know anything about this?

well, i am still catching by breath over this trip.

i booked at the new garden feb 29th to march 6th then did a black beards trip until the march 9th. i will write up a separate report for bb as i have interesting observations to make with respect to an earlier stay at oxygen’s resort.

as soon as i walked onto ng grounds one of our very own isg brothers from san diego “member #2041” was there to greet me. i will call him mb just for short. must have been easy for him as i described myself as a 5’8” skinny white guy with thinning hair.

mb’s scene was in doing the street massage girls and i must say after hearing some of his stories he was getting some pretty awesome values. there were some posts about these girls earlier and he found them along martinez street as it curves up from dr. rosen and intersects with clisante street. he had to work for what he got although there was some stumbling with some of the girls. maybe he can chime in with his experience if by some chance he reads this.

my first nights there i ended up pairing with an isog poster from seattle i will call cc. cc is part cuban and you wont find a better more experienced wingman anywhere.

then, there was artisttyp from nyc who i understand is still there and is still actively posting from sosua. art is a pretty decent looking guy and has a speech stutter which makes it hard for him to get laid in his own country. don’t let stutter impediments fool you though. art is a pretty sharp guy and with nyc street smarts. i would pit his mongering skills against most anybody else here. he is just as big a ***** as the rest of us and i was proud to have him around.

we all commonly got together to share war stories of the day before and plans for the evening. i think i was the only one who did not mind paying for the higher price girls. cc was priced in the middle with art and dg more of the value hunters.

then there was our el torro gringo. what can i say. the guy knows all the girls and has his own private pad to impress and boink on the girls on demand. i will mention a party he threw in one of my next postings.

before i stop with the intro’s there was one last isg poster with his friends staying at casa cayena i wanted to mention. i don’t recall his posting handle and i wont release his first name so i will just call him fl for florida. fl was a super friendly, also liked the value girls, and every time i stopped to talk to him he had a big wide grin on his face. well that is what this is all about right !

If the Loonie is trading around over 34.5 on [url]http://www.xe.com/[/url], you will be lucky to get 32 in the DR while the US will be around 33.5 or more.

Changing CDN$ in the DR used to be a terrible idea resulting in a ding of 10-20% but it is better now but you will still lose 6-15%.

Better to buy US$ and use the ATM.

Both will cost 2-3%.

Well here is a link to the Banco Central de la Republica Dominicana which shows the new exchange rate every day. Well sometimes the street rate can be a bit higher.

But as i and other sayed here before, i would use a ATM Machine and you can sometimes even get better rate.

By the way there is a new Disco which opened some days ago. Its called "After One" and open in the new Hotel Sosua Bay near the beach. It has the same prices for drinks like Classico, cus its the same owner. And the good thing its open longer then the other Disco in the town center. So no more taking a motoconcho to go to the Casino Disco in Playa Chiquita as this one is in the center and no more paying a gringo entrance fee.

3 and half weeks to go.

Actually, only one of the street massage girls really turned out to be a very good value - a petite spinner named Margarita from the place next to Casa Cayena. And I ended up repeating with her 4 times over the course of my trip. I never actually did her in the massage place - each time I brought her back to my room at New Garden for an unrushed FS session. She went with me for 1000 FS and each time I tipped her 200 more as the service was the best I had on the whole trip. The rest of my encounters with massage girls ran the gamut from total wastes, to nothing special and barely worth the 700 for a BJ. All of my other encounters were chicas either from the bars, or who hung out at New Garden's pool in the late afternoon.

Overall, I was not all that impressed with the chicas in Sosua, as, other than Margarita, I only had one other chica who was significantly better than average - a tall young girl I picked up in one of the Discos named Rosie, who I went with twice. All of my other encounters were no better than the average chica I can pull in Tijuana - just a half hour drive from my home in San Diego. And more than a few of the other chicas tried one type or another of a hustle or short-service compared to what was agreed to before going back to the room. So, no reason to go back to DR if I can match the quality in an easy day trip to Tijuana.

Incidentally, I certainly don't mind paying more for real quality - but I simply didn't see much more in the way of quality in the venues I frequented in Sosua.

BTW, last week, I was able to negotiate 33.5 DR pesos per U.S. dollar from the guys on the corner near the New Garden. The local bank rate was 33.2 at the time. Don't know if the dollar has dropped vs. the peso since last week, though.

So the guy was a local resident who was married to a woman of Mexican origins, and the case is believed to be connected to a case in which a former judge was sent to prison for taking a bribe in a case connected with this woman. The implication is that the 4 assassins in the Red Toyota Camry had deliberately targeted this guy for revenge.

Well, at least that is good news for tourists, though our sympathies must to to Mr. Teulf and his family.

My first night arrival I was dog tired and MB was looking for something to do so we first ventured out to find me a phone. I went to the orange shop, looked at the cheapest models as well as the place across from the new Gazebo. I wound up getting a phone at the Super Playero on the main highway the same way I did the first time. Costs were $22 for the phone plus 300Pesos for talk time. Expect the talk time to be about 10cents a minute for those of you wanting to buy. Also, when doing this make sure you have the address and phone number of your hotel for the paperwork when signing up.

Dinner, wash-up, collapse on the bed for an hour and I was up just in time for the disco at 10:30pm. All I wanted to do was look around and information share about the existing girls with other mongers. This was when I ran into CC and some other guy. But anyway, I was still feeling lethargic from the trip so I turned it in early.

Day 2 - I headed off to Passions about 2pm and my favorite girl recognizes me all excited as I walk in the entrance. She scurried around the bar to spend time with me while I checked in with El Toro Gringo on the phone. ET starts asking me about Carmen and I made sure Carmen could hear me using her name while I talked. She then comes skipping over once she hears her name. ET has me pass the phone to her to say something. I think he told her to take me out back and give me a happy hour session with her and my favorite. Smiles all around is all I can say. After, my fav wanted me to bar fine her out we spent the rest of the afternoon and half the next day together mostly in my room.

So my fav and I watched porn, boink, then rest, more porn, boink, rest again then out for dinner and back to the room, boink. I was really tickled that my fav really got into watching the porn. She liked getting DATYed while watching me and the porn. It was pretty fun. Anyway, it is now the next day and my fav needs to get to the salon before work about 2pm. Thank god, I needed more rest. I napped until dinner time and hit the disco again at 10:30pm.

I rather not say who the passions girl is if you don’t mind. I added up all the costs and WOW what a great value.

Day 3 – This was the second night I did not immediately see anything I liked. There was one hottie I noticed from my previous trip except she did not seem to want to give me the time of day. Well anyway, I got to know CC a little bit better and he told me about his interesting chica evaluation technique. CC likes to buy those 10cent tootsie-pops in the store and when he has a prospect he is not so sure of he gives her a pop. Positive reactions he dates them, blas-ie reactions he does not. I think this kind of works. It makes the difference between knowing if you will have a great session or a boring one.

Anyway, CC and I entered the disco upstairs to have a look around. My eyes immediately fixed on a HOT girl I noticed earlier. I mean H O T. She was standing on the upper level looking down on the dance floor, gyrating her hips, showing her flat belly and surrounded by guys hitting on her right and left. It was like a beehive of guys with this hot queen bee in the middle. She wore skin tight jeans with a tight black top which she tied tighter at her sternum. What an azz, what a flat stomach, light skinned, great looking with straight long hair, super cute face, cute braces. I was getting wood just standing next to her. She could have had any guy in that place. I moved in with the rest of the bees, she returned my smile, returned my hip grind. Other guys were trying to get her attention so I moved out for awhile. I made a loop around the dance floor and continued to watch the grand spectacle.

I then looped my way back up a second time where we exchanged more smiles and momentary grinds. My plan was not to smother her like the other bees. After 30 seconds I moved away again. Then at the advice of CC, my new wing man, he hands me a tootsie pop to give her for my third and final loop. When I nudged up to her I slipped the pop into her hand and slipped away very quickly down the railing at the back of the disco. I made it ¼ the way around the bar and when I looked back she was hot on my tail. That chick actually followed me around the bar to keep flirting with me. She left all those other guys in the dust. My ego was just soaring.

After a few more grinds I told her I never paid more than 2500 for a girl. She started to balk. I panicked and raised the offer to 3000. She grinned and indicated that was acceptable. She was mine for the night.

Man what a body. I thought her boobs were pushed to make them look bigger. I was wrong. They were a perfect handful. No bait and switch there. I only did her once in the evening and once in the morning. Her oral skills needed work and I planned on getting her number so stay tuned. She was great doggie style and took over with a hip flexing grind. I enjoyed sliding off the condom and popping all over her belly and later all over her azz.

While talking I asked her why in the hell did she pick me? She was turning guys away one after another. She told me she does not date Dominicans, they have no money.
