Trumpian eh? But who is the New Yorker who uses salary as a measuring stick for self worth, cheats on his wife, and calling for the deportation of Muslims while manipulating facts due to an inability to handle blunt criticism. Hashtag twinning.
Better to be arrogant and aggressive than deceptive and insecure.
Turgid, basically when you're repeatedly a smart ass to the mods, they rightfully have the right and power to revoke your account. No hard feelings.
I am in NYC now? OK then. I only brought up any money issues to rebut your highly despicable personal attacks. I have repeatedly acknowledged in this pandemic some people have been privileged and others have suffered and I have a ton of sympathy for the people who are financially distressed in this environment. I am not in the business of mocking, attacking other members (or any person for that matter) but when I looked at your current and your past avatar comments, you descend into mocking, personal attacks very very quickly. Talking of hypocrisy, a few weeks ago you equated all Trump voters (which you yourself may have been, because you claimed you voted only GOP until 2 years ago) to Hitlerite Nazis -- that's right, talk about broad brushing! 50% of the population including nearly 70 mil voters this week are identical to a group of murders that perpetrated holocaust! Perhaps you should ask ADL and Foxman who are no GOP sympathizers if they agree with you in that false, reprehensible equivalence.
BTW, hyper aggression on anonymous boards is highly correlated to deeply entrenched insecurity in my empirical observation although I am no psych major. Although I disagree with McAdonis more often than normal, I will give it to him that he is not at all aggressive and has a very thick skin and sometimes I wish I had that quality but when someone goes out of their way to launch personal attacks I do reply back, that's my weakness. And I will say the last place I will listen to any lectures on morality and fidelity is on a sex forum from other equally depraved mongers. I have disagreed with Phallus or Pistons or Hammer or a ton of other people but you will not find me attacking them personally, mocking them; this particular trait is your signature and no matter how many times you change your avatar you will be found because that mocking tone comes through in a couple of posts. I did not know TakeDown but if I had been active on the forum then, I would have know you were back in a new avatar.
I did not call for deportation of all Moslems and if I had, the logical place would be in my country but even after 9/11 I fervently defended the few Islamic friends I had here. A Moslem co-worker's brother at Cantor perished on 9/11. The crux of my argument with Gino for 6 months is precisely that individuals should be judged on their own individual behavior and not based on a group trait (ethnic look, origin, whatever). But Islamists cheering on beheaders, being sympathetic to them openly or practicing boycotts of French products in a time of need deserve zero sympathy and only absolute condemnation. But your own hypocrisy in this matter is quite obvious. Now, I too have patronized GT and other clubs but I never paid any particular attention to this matter before, and I was not the race warrior pushing my own personal code of morals onto others and worse yet attacking them at the first sign as if I was a paragon of morality and virtue.

Clorox Bleach prices are holding steady, no change.
Mick Mulvaney has said Trump will run in 2024 and I had been thinking the same even before I hard Mick. If we think we have seen the last of Trump, we are mistaken. I voted against Trump because IMP he is fucking incompetent. I think his tough trade stance v China, Hua Wei ban have found broad resonance across political spectrum and even in Europe which are now following the US lead on banning Hua Wei out of their networks. Trump's views on making NATO pay for their own ticket and not free loading, more stringent immigration control, shifting manufacturing back to US also have support across the board. In fact, if he had paid lip service to Fauci, went along with simple things like mask usage, controlled his urges to lash out at every instance even against own party folks such as McCain, etc then he might very well have won. Even now, GOP picked up seats in the House and Senate did not go away as Dems hoped. Even the 8 pt popular vote thrashing never happened. Trump's hold on his party is complete. Look at how quickly Cruz, Lindsey and others jumped when Eric Trump did the whistle. The only question they asked is "how high? Trump is taking credit for the better than expected results in House / Senate, will blame WH loss on fraud (and mind you, his supporters will agree with any lie he makes up) and until Dems find a formula to beat electoral college their advantage in polls and popular vote will mean zilch. In fact, I was surprised to see Trump win in some unexpected places such as Nassau county, NY which is very high end, mostly urban, educated, diversified, well paid population. Dems need to find a way to connect to the populist wing of the country and it is not with $15 minimum wage and offering expanded Obamacare. The other thing I will say is that Dems must be in shock that Trump's loss in popular vote was so narrow and that he also increased his vote count so much. If anything, his fans had a reason to stay home depressed as they must be with Covid, economy, jobs, what not but they turned up in high numbers. Dems came at bigger numbers because they were hugely psyched to defeat Trump but that amount of enthusiasm will not be there in 2024 and the Covid / extended voting / mail in helped Dems: groups such as younger people, minorities who normally vote in smaller percentages voted in higher numbers now because they had more time to vote, could do through mail. Those may not be true in 2024. I do think the demographic shift (both on shrinking White population and growing percent of youth) is helpful to Dems in general but it is also true demographics is not always destiny unless Dems are smart and careful.
Even the opening salvo in any exchange with a member starts with a few mocking lines, a reference to personal attributes such as youth and some vague attractiveness (yeah, he is a runway model, that's right. Perhaps the guy wearing spongebob costume at the local park on a hot afternoon) coupled with more mocking (a guy barely 5 years younger than me calling me a boomer, as if he is a 28 yr NZ female parliamentarian).
Well I'll be working in Brooklyn / Queens for a month+. Here's an open invitation for a friendly wager to see who can close on more women. You can pick the venue. May I suggest a gym near Jamaica, Queens. Make sure you wear your New Balance shoes or whatever guys with DadBods wear these days Boomer. But if you need liquor to build up some courage, I know some spots that are open to accommodate those special needs. How about a wager of a Sharks 20 entry card. Should be a pretty tiny wager for such a wealthy businessman.
I am fairly certain he is no physician. I have way too many family members and friends from be school who were MDs in prior life; none of them care to spend hours typing on social media; most have had it up to their neck with EMRs, constant pulling down of menus and records and clicks; their speeches are laden with clinical references and not this inane research monologues; and the lack of financial security is a giveaway. I found some references to this even in his TakeDown avatar and others were mocking him 3 years ago. All easily searchable with a few easy clicks. In any case, being a physician impresses no one these days..
I choose my words very precisely when speaking about my profession so I suggest you examine a little more closely. (You are creepily very skilled at digital stalking though!) First job out of undergrad was a bench research position. First job after the first master's was a clinical research position. Belittling the valuable role of researchers is quite Trumpian. So is the focus on salary. That's so douchey. I guess that's fitting for such a "successful businessman."
Side note: Opinion on your stalking skills took a bit of a hit as I have no idea why you are referencing the lowest paying primary care providers. I have more faith in your stalking skills so my assumption is that it was intentionally misleading.
Here are the most recent *average* intensivist salaries, including critical care and emergency medicine. Oddly enough, even the internist and primary care salaries are well above 230 K.

Perhaps you are getting confused with mid-level / APP salaries. Up to 200 K, not too shabby:

As for the trope of paperwork, I love my scribes. $15/ HR and writing an occasional letter of recommendation to never have to chart a damn thing. Whoop whoop.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_scribe?wprov=sfti1
It appears that your perception of medical professions is stuck in the 90's. Ok boomer.
Anyway, maybe someone can clarify why someone would assert "you are not an x" just to follow up with a diatribe of why x sucks. That's so incongruent. Here's a tip, if you actually rise to the challenge of the wager; incongruence, I suggest working on that. Because women can sniff that shit out.
BTW, do your family members just randomly drop clinical references in a layman setting? If so, how pompous and socially unaware of them. Are they unable to code switch for when they have to talk to their patients? The holidays must be a bore at the pessimist household.

Didn't realize only residents of New York City were allowed to be called New Yorkers. Seriously, is this a well known fact to which I was not aware?
Reconstructing reality by deliberately misconstruing the facts is a hallmark sign of a lack of substance when defending a case, just my empirical observation. Then again, maybe you just read too fast while in your state of rage and those half dozen instances just all happened to be subconscious / unintentional mistakes. Not sure if this is a case of intentional manipulation or early signs of a developing personality disorder. Psych-mental health knowledge is also a weak point of mine. We're basically samesies!
Avatar, LOL. What a boomer. Welcome to the internet BTW.
" an avatar (also known as a profile picture or userpic) is a graphical representation of a user or the user's character or persona. It may take either a two-dimensional form as an icon in Internet forums and other online communities or a three-dimensional form, as in games or virtual worlds.
NY, NYC, New Yorker. Whatever. I have no idea where you got that idea but I could not care any less. The rest of your diatribe is barely coherent. My dad is a boomer and you repeatedly calling me a boomer does not hurt my feelings. An insult works when it hits close to home; you calling me a boomer is like me saying you are a fat Cambodian woman. Perhaps you get all worked up if someone calls you that but it does not work that way in case of normal people (not you).
I don't need to reference medscape entries about physician salaries; I have first hand info from a bunch of people quite close to me. I already said "unless one is a specialist comps are terrible; money is getting worse and work hours getting longer". As usual, your excessive anger clouds your reading. If you are a specialist, you can say so but I know you would be lying even more. Simply put, you are just a researcher and it would be good if you are proud of what you are. One family member is a EP and his hours are absolutely terrible (and even the EP is only at $450 and he is 10 years past his last fellowship). That is one example. You citing wiki to claim paperwork is a trope is a sick joke. Not one family member has said it is not true or not getting worse, and I see that first hand and quite often. Some come back home and still have to work. Some come home very late in the evenings. If there is a real doctor on this form, that person would know what I am talking about (not you).
Your macho BS about picking up women, dad bod and other nonsense shows what I said about your upbringing. I don't pick up women at the bar, I pay sugar babes. If you were picking up good looking chicks for free, you would not be running 6 times a year for a week each to German FKKs, would you? And you don't have a wife and no reason you can't do so. (and that is the other thing; not a single physician in my extended family gets that much time off; they have to plan months in advance to get any time off, finding someone to cover them when they are vacationing and most take at most a couple of weeks off in a year with great difficulty. That alone is a huge giveaway that you are absolutely bullcrapping. Not to mention when they do go on vacation, time is of a lot more value than cash and none of them scrimp).
Coming to the way you speak -- that is not the talk of a professional, that is the kind of junk one hears from uneducated blue collar workers whose identity comes from the stuff you are bragging about. I am envious of my senior partner because his net worth is north of $30 M and I could not care any less if he has a dad bod or dead bod. I am 15 years his junior. In much better shape, and he is not at all envious of me, but he knows I look up to him. The juniors in my office who have a better physique and more stamina do not bother me in the least. But your post confirms once more your urge to lash out in any which you can (a very Trumpian trait), constant references to physical attributes as a show of vanity but merely confirming your lack of class; my friends and I still trash talk in jest but it has been decades since anyone bragged about the kinds of stuff you harp, like picking up chicks, bod, yadda yadda. I am actually starting to wonder if you are even a researcher or in fact you are the lowly paid scribe you put a link to. And for a guy barely 5 years younger than me, you have no family, no GF apparently, not much financial security, have to fly to DE to get some action despite your physical attraction being your strongest suit in your own words, and you must be a huge disappointment to your Chinese parents.
Oh, no need for any impressive stalking skills. It is called search. You can use it to stalk me if you care.
"Historically, China has not been seen as an enemy to the Muslim world".
Frankly, that is not the relevant issue.
First, if you keep litigating the wrongs of the past, then forget about the future and moving forward. Colonization ended at least 60 years ago for most colonies. Dig up the past, you will remain in the past.
Whether the Middle East is wrong or misguided in "digging up the past", I make no judgement there. I am sticking to the original question: why Muslims do not seem to be outraged by Uyghur detention camps. The Middle East's distrust of the West is not just based on events that occurred 60 years ago. Even in 2020, there is a huge NATO troop presence in the region. They see the West as sowing internal strife. They feel that Western media has misrepresented and unfairly demonized them, and if Western media is capable of that, then that might be why they don't necessarily buy into the Western media narrative that China is persecuting Muslims indiscriminately or without cause. As I said before, China has 10 million Uyghur Muslims and 10 million Hui Muslims, but the Hui Muslims are rarely found amongst the detained. Many Muslim countries also struggle with their own Muslim terrorist threats: Sunni Muslim majority countries detain Shia Muslims and Turkey detains Kurdish Muslims.
France has not declared war on Islam either, to your point. Positively Trumpian. Peace!
I disagree with Pistons that you and Mursnary are the avatars of the same person although you appear to be a good friend of his and a frequent supporter on this site. That said, I think your equivalence is wrong. There is only one man here who is hyper aggressive, makes personal insults within one or two comments, and descends into a brawl with many. Not only that, his personal insults are rarely targeted at the matter of discussion and he has a tendency to lash out in multiple directions. Most often they involve invoking some sort of superior intellect (laughable given that he is ashamed of his real avocation and claims to be a physician when he is a researcher), superior physical attributes (attractiveness, ability to pick up chicks blah coupled with calling others boomers and dad bods), superior connection with prostitutes (ability to obtain personal phone numbers), and so on. When I did a quick search, his prior avatar of TakeDown had a very similar pattern, including creating multiple side avatars in which he was coordinating attacks on other members, per the comments of members then. In one, he created a highly offensive name for the handle itself implying a homosexual physical link between two senior members here (Mr Cane and Mr Ho). Who goes to such lengths to insult anonymous members on this site in a deeply personal way?* BTW, my undergrad was in electrical engineering and I spent a few years doing semiconductor chip design prior to business school but this man with a supposedly a health sciences background has the temerity to say "welcome to the internet" to me. That is how his mind works. Make up any insult because it feels good to lash out.
