A Guide for Newbies Part III

[b]Strip-clubs and nightlife in general in Prague:[/b]

I prefer the local bars to the nightclubs (the actual nightclubs, the discoes) in Prague, because I'm generally too old to be dancing on the floors of the hip clubs like Duplex in Prague; but while I was walking around W. Square I did stop by Hot Peppers, which is a strip club and Duplex, which is a nightclub, is right next to Hot Peppers. It seems very professional. When I was there Duplex had hired a dancer to lure in the crowd. She wasn't dressed provocatively, just in a sexy dress. Building on Assspazz's excellent post, Mecca is the sister club to Duplex. Duplex is primarily oriented at tourists given its location. Prices to match.

I paid like 20k an hour and they close the gates after 9pm, do not open until 7am, I liked that kind of security. (they do not charge you for the night hours)

So In my case I paid from 6pm. 9pm and then from 7am. 9am (time when I picked up my car)

That was a good deal!

- Annonce Auto/Moto (used cars...)
- Annonce Reality/Prace (flats to rent... + job offers...)
- Annonce Hobby/Kontakty (personals, dating...)

In the Hobby/Kontakty edition is inserted the Annonce Erotic section (Sexy stranky wich means sexy pages) wich includes job offers in erotic business, erotic items (porn dvd´s and other sex shop´s goods) and classifieds from privates, night clubs and escort agencies.

On saturday there is a weekend edition of Annonce as well called Annonce Special wich is bringing together all three newspapers.

Annonce is available at newsstands and press shelves in most supermarkets.

The Annonce Hobby/Kontakty edition is sold 17 kc and the Annonce Special edition is sold 25 kc.

On internet, in addition to the Annonce.cz website wich includes the erotic classifieds ("spolecnice" section but you can also find some profi offers in the "flirt" section), Annonce also developped the Sexystranky.cz website.

Personally I think this is an Individual opinion. I have never been to Prague in September but many times in October and I prefer July to October for various reasons. One my friend likes November the best because it is more quiet from Tourism. And a friend of mine who runs a travel agency in Prague his busiest period is May.

But September and October are well in High Season, Lots of People flashing out their Cameras on Starometske Náméstí.
