I'd normally give 300-400 baht on a 3,000 punt. You have to remember they only get a small percentage of the fee you pay the shop and no matter what way you look at it, they can't be having a great life doing what they do and probably don't have many prospects to look forward to, so even a small gesture on a human level is appreciated by them I always have felt. You have to have empathy for their plight.

Having said that if the service is rubbish or bad (as in half-hearted, not making any effort, rushed, or down right rude) I don't tip at all, such you'll never go back or ever see them again. I'm the same I'll leave a decent tip for good service but refuse to do so for bad (otherwise it encourages bad behavior's for future punters), I generally tip between Baht 250 - 500 depending on time & level of service.
