First time staying here last night stayed in M2-203, it's a short hike from M1, m2 is quiet outside of you can hear every door shut in building smh LOL. I guess good place for newbies but if you can find a chica friendly hotel it's too many options to pay the Mansion IMO. But each his own MDE due to low cost, better looking women and more options Mde is at the top of my list over places I've been for mongering over Sosua, Santo Domingo, San Jose / Jaco.
Thanks for this post. Useful info. Question: have you stayed with Colombia Jake before? If you have, for a newbie like myself, which is more suitable? I am swaying toward Mansion only because they invite a lot of girls to hang out at the pool which sounds really good.
I have never stayed with Jake. I never needed that much hand holding. I already spoke decent Spanish on my first trip but didn't have any contacts so I stayed at the Mansion. The place is overpriced (rooms, drinks, etc) but there's no other place like it unfortunately.
Go back pages and read about Jake's place and his girls to get an idea.

.
Sounds crazy. After 7 years of taking guys around to the casas. You'd think he'd have the map memorized by now. LOL!
Hi,
Not a first time poster. I just changed my name on here due to log in reasons. I was here last year and did post in both Bogota and Medellin threads. My question is what escort agency or casa would be the best for a 3 some with 2 paisas. Will be down in MDE in about 10 days.
Thanks
Chose 22 yo Carla yesterday. Long black probably fake hair. Big old booty. Decent face and bags. Actually bags were better than decent. They were above average. Did my usual at new life: CBJ then doggystyle. She wouldn't arch her back in doggy as she said it was too painful. Pretty decent overall. Will not repeat though.
Of course she asked for propina. My usual response, que es propina? Got to have that something extra for a propina in my opinion. Reminds me of the scene in reservoir dogs. Anyways, try her once if you like the big booty, but warning, she don't arch the back.

What was the pool like during the day at M1: was there many girls hanging out for you to choose from? Liking the idea of hanging out with WGs throughout the day and taking them back. I'm planning on visiting Medellin next Feb and still undecided as to where to stay. Want to see as many WGs as possible but wondering if I am better off staying in a nicer hotel and relying on the various casas and Internet for women. It's been confirmed that no other hotel allow WGs to hang out in their hotel pool area.

I was lodged at that accommodation for nine nights in October 2015 and encountered no problems. You can read my report of my stay on TripAdvisor at:

In case that link doesn't work, look for a review titled "Excelente (Excellent) for Medellin!" on the Sites page on TripAdvisor.
To any Medellin newbies and lurkers monitoring this thread and thinking about visiting Medellin, remember: you don't need to stay at Mansion or use the services of ColombiaJake to have a great time in Medellin (no disrespect to either of those institutions). Yes, many people have had great trips to Medellin staying at Mansion and hanging out with Jake, but again, you don't need those institutions to have fun in Medellin. Just do the proper research on this thread and on TripAdvisor and you'll have a great time.
One final thing: when I wrote my review of Sites last November on TripAdvisor, I received criticism from some ISG members that me mentioning that Sites is "chica friendly" would cause financial harm / ruin for that hotel. When I wrote my review, Sites was ranked #12 of 97 hotels in Medellin on TripAdvisor. Today, it's ranked #8 of 97. Nice to see that a clean, safe, conveniently-located, chica-friendly hotel continues to do well months after my stay.
Happy mongering!

They can help you with money exchange, getting a cell phone, etc. They show you around the casas. I spent my first 3 days in Medellin at the Mansion, then moved to an apartment. I'm glad I did it that way. They also throw killer parties during major American Holidays. Super Bowl at the Mansion is awesome.

Happy mongering!
I think apartments are much superior to hotels. You get a larger space, a kitchen, balcony, laundry etc. Also, the chicas feel much more comfortable hanging out in a private apartment vs a hotel.
To me 5 days is an eternity. Especially when you are somewhere like Medellin. I would recommend either the day trip or split the stay. It does not take days on end to sightsee, and since you are already in Colombia you might as well check it out. If you get there early enough you should be able to fit the 3 biggest attractions in. Go up Monserat, Cathedral of Salt (which is actually out of town) then get back to the city and go to the Gold Museum. I did 4 cities in Vietnam in 10 days, so I am sure it will be easy to cover both Medellin and Bogota in 5 days.
Actually, me, my dad, and my brother did both in 4 days last August. We arrived in Bogota at night and hung out in Santa Fe. The next morning we went to Medellin, hit casas, and set up the Escobar tour. That night the strip clubs and De Greiff. The next day the Escobar tour, lunch in Parque Lleras, more casas. Fase 2 that night. Next morning back to Bogota to see Monserat and the Gold Museum, and that night back on the plane to the States.
Just a warning if you take the Pablo Escobar tour with Paisa Road the tour guide Paula has a very negative personality. You can read the reviews for yourself on trip advisor about her. She really put a damper on the tour instead of just explaining the history and showing the sights. If there is another tour I would definitely try to use someone else.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I'm planning to spend two or three weeks in Colombia. What I might do is stay in Mansion for the first few days. Then fly out to Cartagena for a week or so. Fly back to Medellin and stay at a hotel or apartment that's chica friendly. That way I get to know the area and hopefully have a few girls I can call upon.
As I'm not a senior member yet, is there a chance a senior member can start a new thread called chica friendly accommodation please? I think it would be really useful for us newbies to see names of chica friendly hotels and apartments.
Thanks
Mansion is doing the same in effect.

This time I finally am taking the next plunge and making my first mongering trip to Colombia. Just bought my ticket to MDE for September. Being a first timer I decided that the first two nights would be at the Mansion then several days in Santa Marta and finishing uo again in MDE where I plan to get an apartment I assume through Airbnb. They seem to have some great properties at decent prices. If anyone has any specific apartments that they could recommend that would be great.
Since I am a first timer to MDE and, an older one at that, I'm not looking for any trouble. That brings up a couple of questions.
1. Are the taxis at the airport safe? I will be arriving kind of late at night and although I have a couple of offers from amigas to meet me at the airport, I plan to do some "shopping" before I connect with anyone. Would it be better to take up the transportation offered through the Mansion? If so is there much of a premium for this service? (I guess I could ask tomorrow when I'm making my reservation.
2. While I have two amigas that I met previously in SXM that I likely will be with some of the time while in Colombia I do want to explore a few of the strip clubs on my own. Again, are the taxis getting you there and returning later in the evening reasonably reliable or is a major risk to try to get a taxi from in front of a club?
I've RTFF so I think a lot of my other questions have been answered but if anyone has anything they can add, please let me know.
Barkey.
No complaints but no one was using the pool I guess wasn't hot enough the girls just hang around there till evening then migrate to the bar downstairs. It wasn't that many to choose from but I stayed at the M Sunday (m2) and Monday (m1) I imagine weekends it's plenty more to choose from. But I visited new life etc so the lack of options didn't bother me. But some guys I met said they never left the M so it's your preference I'm not a vet but I do believe it's the only hotel to offer the luxury.

Barkey.
Taxis from the airport are pretty safe. But I'd just use the Mansion's pick-up service. It's nice to have someone waiting for you at the airport on your first visit. It's not a significant difference in cost. Also, they may be picking up another guest at the same time, which would be nice as you can share info with the other guest during the ride. And of course split the cost, making it less than catching your own taxi.
IMO, taxis in MDE are safer than in lots of places in S. America. However, for peace of mind, there is something you can do to ensure safety. When you get in the taxi, take a picture of the driver's registration displayed on the dash. Then send the photo to someone who knows where you are (or just send it to yourself). And make sure the driver knows what you're doing and why. Tell him you always do this for your own safety. He shouldn't be offended.
