Dolce Vita is basically an after hours Mabs type place, but indoors, like a dance night club.

Typically some of the same girls from Mabs, plus others.

Contrary to some posts, you can find some talent that show at Mabs and / or Doce Vita.

If you're cool, can "bater papo" (conversate, chat, flirt) you can strike great deals as well.

P.S., don't tell MongerForSex guy, but some girls from Mabs / Doce Vita, do or have also worked the Termas.

The place has been open since about the same time Help closed so about 10 years now but the space has been a boate for decades used to be called Holiday. It's like a mini help, small bar, small dance floor, the door men were Help regulars back in the day. Many here would say it's a place for gringos with gringo prices but if you like the independent scene then about 1 AM this place gets rocking and you get all types including a good amount of gems. When I'm in Rio I don't go every night but when I do I always find something nice.

I have told this story here before but it is worth repeating. In Frankfurt, Germany there is a bar with girls out front enticing men to enter with promises of a good time. Guy goes in, orders a drink and up comes a lady promising more than she did outside. Of course, to move things along, she needs a drink. Pretty soon the guy realizes that he is being taken for a ride and signals he wants to close out his tab. Suddenly he notices that the young lady is nowhere to be found but there are a couple of large bouncers within a few feet. He looks down and his bill is for a few hundred Euros. That is a tourist trap.

You won't find that in Rio. Everything is your call. Before you enter a bar, ask how much it is to enter. Quanto custa entrar? Are there any drinks included? (consumption) Há bebidas incluídas? May I look? Posso olhar?

Go from bar to bar and stay if you see any girls that you like. You could even write the Portuguese on cards and hold them up. Generally you will be allowed to enter without paying to take a quick look around. However, do be aware that the girls go from location to location so my recommendation is if you find a decent place, stay put for 30 minutes or so. This is why some guys will find gems at places like Mabs and other guys see nothing but hags. A termas is a sure thing most of the time, but then again, you will pay the price. Two major pieces of advice: Save your drinking for another time. You are in Rio for the women, not the alcohol. Related advice: Don't rely on blue pills to get you through a drunken stupor. My five women a night days are over, but keeping sober and a hot Brazilian still do it once or twice a night for me.

Another place with a tourist trap reputation is Barbarella.

You are going to pay money to get in. You will pay money to get out and for the girl. This can add up and depending on the girl, you might not have that great of a time. Remember, many girls at these clubs, including Barbarella, would like to see a few guys a night. Don't be stupid with your money, but unless you speak Portuguese or find an English speaking girl, it will be difficult to negotiate. Again, you didn't travel all the way to Rio to lose out on a sweet thing over $10. This is where guys posting reports here can help. Any comments from anyone.[/QUOTE]La Dolce Vita is the best nightclub in Copacabana in my opinion, its nearest rival is Kalabria and they are so close many walk between the two, so if its quiet in Kalabria the girls will go to La Dolce Vita.

Some tips- on entry you pay a fee and receive a card- entry usually includes one drink (bebida nacional). All drinks are charged by the barman to your card so it is wise to keep a tab on how many drinks you have bought or you may be in for a surprise on exit. I also recommend tipping your favourite waiter and the security when you leave as you will be well received when you return. Remember the waiters and security earn a fraction of what the girls are making so a small tip is well appreciated.

You will have a great time there.

It's a bit cramped. The Partitions don't go all the way to the ceiling. The "room" was just a mattress. This place is a bit trashy. LOL At least there was AC.
