A few quick thoughts before I post a detailed TR.

Medellin is awesome. I will definitely be back. Stayed at the M2, never again. The hill sucks & I just had both knees scoped so it was quite a struggle going up. I'll be back but only if the M1 has space.

-1) The Mansion is awesome! I don't know how anyone could ever complain about this place. Robert & Boyd were as good a host as could be asked for. This was my first trip so it fit perfectly.

-2) The 7/4 Pool Party was an adventure in itself, I will be back next year. At the M1!

-3) I've heard people on here complaining about the price of the Mansion girls. Really? 150,000 COP= $52.81 or less if you use a Schwab card at the ATM as their rate is better. $52 to hook up with a model quality chica that wouldn't give you the time of day back here in the P#why Prison. Hard for me to believe anyone can complain about that!

-4) Some guys are willing to pay $75 to be set up with the GFE. Again. Really? You're going to pay somebody to have them tell a chica to treat this guy like he is your BF because he's paying me $75? You can get that 10 X over at The Mansion, hook up, spend time, bring them out for dinner, whatever and pay the chica the same amount without having to go thru a chica broker. And you can choose from several girls. I just don't get it!!

-5) While I met some really cool guys at the M, there are always a goofball in the crowd. One was complaining about not finding any skinny girls at the M, on the street or in the strip clubs. Un-fricking-believable!! Another, a stunt double for Millhouse on the Simpsons, was so proud of himself, his Spanish speaking ability & the fact that he was retiring next year it was nauseating to listen to him talk for more than 5 min much less continue to talk to him after meeting him. Within 3 minutes of meeting him at breakfast one morning he told me 2 X that he was fluent in Spanish, 3 X that he was retiring next year & he even had the huevos to brag about himself to someone he just met & say "I'm a Professor and I'm good at it!" Half the guys on this board could go take a test & be a "Professor' tomorrow! I heard him speaking to a cab one afternoon & I swear, Peggy Hill speaks as well as a local native speaker compared to his cartoon Spanish. I truly feel sorry for the guy!

-6) why'all can have my share of the casa girls. The girls aren't bad, I just find the casas disgusting. I'll pay for the Mansion (dare I say GF? Experience. I am not a germophobe but do you really think those sheets are washed between pops? I doubt I'll ever be back!

-7) why'all can have my share of Mayorista. That place is a f at *ng access pool. I went Fri pm with Jim Dandy & Galan55 & another ISG guy. I wasn't drunk so I was very aware of my surroundings. There were so many groups of locals that were simply casing the crowd. Several times I noticed local guys eyeballing us (not simply people watching) & as soon as I made eye contact with them they quickly turned their heads. Not a nice place. Only saw 2 spinners worth hitting that none of us pulled. Probably never again!

Anyway, I'm one of the CR (6 years & 15 trips) converts several people on here were complaining about so hammer away if you must. I'll be back & there will still be plenty of chicas to go around.

Just got back from SJO where I really liked the availability, cost and relative safety of Uber. Fares where cheap and went right on my credit card. From the airport cost was about 1/3 of taxis. Even put a girl in an Uber to send her home which again was a significant savings on what she wanted for 'taxi'. I know they have something called Easy Taxi in MDE is Uber available there as well? I like not having to fumble for cash and that the app interface is in English. Would rock if you could use it for airport tranfer into town.

Yes Uber is available in Colombia. You have to be careful with airport use though because in Bogota I know there was a surcharge and I would have come out better in a regular taxi. Uber in Medellin works fine. I have used it several times.

I have a question regarding Uber. I currently don't use Uber but I will need to use it in Medellin. I know when you register you have to put in a phone number which is usually the number from your country. If I signed up before hand and use a prepaid number will there be any issues when I switch to a Colombian carrier sim card and update my Uber phone in the profile so it shows a Colombian number. I've read there sight and did some google searches but couldn't get a clear answer. Any advice is appreciated.

I am so glad I made all those visits to Medellin over the past ten years before Medellin's rise in popularity. The World Travel Awards Latin America 2016 named Medellin the best city break destination. In 2013 it was named the most innovative city in the world in 2013 by the Urban Land Institute for its strides in politics, education and social development.

Essentially speaks for me regarding the Mansion. I love the ease of it, and while I never stayed at M2, it doesn't appeal to me. I like the ability to poke my head out at the pool at (say) 3 pm and see what chicks are around and available to pull up to my room. Or to wander upstairs for a bit if La Cueva is a bit slow in the evening. The only problem, though, is it seems you need to plan many months (4? 6?) in advance to get a room at M1 over a weekend. I wish you could see online what is available when, rather than having to email back and forth. Makes planning more cumbersome. Or am I missing an easier way to know what rooms are available?

To see what rooms are available and what dates, it's easier if you call them on their US # 1-312-546-4301, then use email back & forth to book. I'm making a return trip next week and staying at M1. I was at M2 my first trip & that hill kicked my ass, so I took taxis after a couple days.

First off, for the fanboys of this place I don't really care what you think. I am though going to share my experience. Picked a girl named Daniela that was cute to my eyes in the dim lighting. Problem is she had obvious mental health issues. First she starts getting aggressive at the fact that I brought my own condom, a first. Hostile in fact shaking her finger in my face. And I thought wrongly that maybe we could get past it. I mean they collect the cash first so you try to stay positive. Then she insists on no kissing anywhere on her body, boobs included. Of course any sort of BJ condom or otherwise was out of the question, but being the optimist I still held out hope for a conclusion. So we did the handjob and when I went to put on the condom for the main event she went ballistic insisting that I shower again to remove any lube residue first, that she herself had applied. At that point I just pulled up and went to the died haired manasan, explaining all in Spanish. She refused any partial refund even though this all occurred within 15 minutes of an hour session. So, put your nose between her butt cheeks, defend her all you wish but I will never again darken the doorway of this place. Your choice.

The unscrupulous mamasan refused any partial refund or switch for a different girl even though all of the nonsense occurred within 15 minutes of an hour session.

I'll just add that if you happen to draw some freaked out germophope in el centro, and if the management is so low as to back a girl when she is clearly wrong, then you aren't out much cash. But at Energy that old broad has put her meets on about 50 US, not a mint I know but still a bit of change. And more than she deserves to have her hands on by dishonest means.

Sunday night was my final night in Medellin. Woke up from a nap after dinner, then did my late night Centro strip club rounds. Went to Conejitas first, stayed for a while but the picking was really slim. Hit Maracaibo next, not bad. Their chicks are mostly young spinner types. Chatted with one of them young spinners, later she called over her younger sister, who is also her co-worker. They look very alike. Told me she's 18, but looked younger. Older sis wanted me to get a session on-site (for 70000), I countered with 100000 for 3 hours back at my place. She agreed but still tried to upsell for a 3 some to include little sis! I said no and she volunteered "ok. Or you can just take my sister, I don't mind. " Wow what a loving sibling. I just stuck with her. Took her back after 2 am; packed my luggage in between having 2 pops, a little before 5 am it was time to take the bus to the airport.

On the second leg of my flights home, actually sat next to a guy I saw in the Medellin airport. Turned out he lives within an hour from me. Took us no time to get through with the pleasantries to start comparing notes. It was both our first time to Medellin and he did the exact opposite as I. Whereas I didn't go anywhere else except El Centro, he did not set foot outside of Poblado at all. He stayed at Hotel Charlee and room rate was $170 per night. He said the hotel gym is amazing because the well-to-do women who work out there are amazing. Somehow our conversation touched on the different racial groups of Medellin. He was incredulous when I told him around Centro and Prado, it would not be an exaggeration to say 1 out of 7 (working, shopping, living) is Afro-Colombian. He said the only people of African origin he's seen his whole trip, were guys like him from the US. I thought that was rather interesting.
